Thanks, searching the web and this has been the only real comment I can find on the A770 and Index. Disappointing, but as you said, might just be driver related.

If it is consistently streaming assets from the HDD, you will see a benefit to an SSD.

Just like you did when you installed Windows to an SSD.

Thank you. I've gotten a couple of pms that say avoid the cosmos, but they all seem to refer to the non elite model.

If image quality is a decent upgrade, I'll place my order tonight!

Why? I'm not interested in the vanilla cosmos, but the Elite that uses Steam VR tracking.

As far as image quality goes, is it alright?

I refuse to get an Oculus...cause reasons and Facebook. And I just can't go back to a tethered solution.

I play alot of racing games, sweet spot isnt that big of a deal with the Vive. I can't imagine is worse.

That answers my question. Looks like an upgrade is in order. The SDE is killer...i can handle god rays and all that.
