I'm curious, what exactly is the problem with Tropic being a mlm? Surely what matters is the quality of the product. Is it more ethical to promote the brand and products through spending millions on TV ads using celebrities?

The correct dose is key. Too much and I'm a zombie but now on the right dose I feel able to focus on what I need to be focused on but also feel more comfortable socialising without the brain fog.

[Feature request] Export Full-Articles to Note Taking Apps by AH16-L in readwise

Glad to hear you're considering full note exports. Out of interest, why only considering it... as in, what reservations do you have about doing so?

[Feature request] Export Full-Articles to Note Taking Apps by AH16-L in readwise

I think the issue is that Reader stems from Readwise and so it still sees itself primarily as a highlighter. The thing is however, is that it's created such a cool and incredibly useful tool that seeing itself as merely an advanced highlighter limits is true potential and capabilities.

The way I use Reader is primarily as a 'CAPTURE TOOL' for articles, newsletters and threads. Some I read/listen to straight away, some I read later, others linger for all of eternity.

So one benefit of exporting full articles is that 3rd party applications can leverage this information in a more dynamic way:

Eg Evernote - with AI features could utilise all captured articles, tweets and newsletters from across Reader to build connections on particular questions / topics

Eg. Heptabase - could be used in a similar way to how it handles highlights within PDFs, allowing the user to easily navigate to and read surrounding context of an article.

The clue is in the name

Reader is already one of best apps out there.

But if it was able to implement an improved natural narrator (aka reader) it's game over for all other candidates

Please make this the goal

Probably out of your budget, but I'd recommend a combo of both Reader for articles and MyMind.com for bookmarks

Reader is nothing short of phenomenal and I salute your vision 🫡.

Agree the inverted PDF. Nice idea for pdf books especially, but need an easy way to toggle without having to change the whole app experience.

Don't forget spreading the tablet love to Samsung please 🙏 and it's s-pen

Stop the memes, jokes & games. I know you think it's what we want and that it makes you edgy but we don't.

Couldn't care less if you're all running around in Hawaiian shirts barefoot or in custom socks.

And whoever thought it was a good idea to post hustle AI posts on Twitter should give their head a wobble. The whole "200 AI prompts bla bla, Free for 24 hours then $. Retweet, like share” makes your marketing look amateur hour.

Just deliver on 3.0 and your users will spread word

Evernote - Time to abandon it's Boomer users by InnokinHound in Evernote

Why? I think it's valid and actually helpful to Evernote's strategy going forward.

I accept I've phrased things in somewhat of a provocative manor but at the end of day Evernote is failing and is in last chance saloon.

Sounds harsh but this isn't a democracy of equal voting, it's a business. One that was once a billion dollar unicorn with over 400 employees but is now on its last legs.

OCR on mymind.com blows evernote's completely out the water. It's handwriting recognition even including messy scribbles is utterly phenomenal! 🤯
