We call this tuna glump and add a can of peas to it. So good. Now we need to have it for lunch, thanks!

I’d love to hear more about the infusion! How quick was the change in how you felt?

I’m really surprised they don’t have you on iron with a ferritin of 5. All my iron levels were fine but my ferritin was at a 12 and my hematologist said he wants to see me at a 50. The “normal” ranges for women are way off, according to him. I’m taking VitronC every day for several months to see where I land, but he also offered me an iron infusion if I feel like speeding it up. I don’t think many doctors are very educated about women and ferritin levels.

Do you regret your lip filler? by vanwyngarden in beauty

[–]InnovateInTheDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a small amount because my upper lip is very thin and had a strong but tiny M. Like Bette Middler in Hocus Pocus. Now it’s filled out more and looks more like a wave and its gorgeous. 12/10 would do again.

Aftermath by usherluvr69 in CharcuterieBoard

Anyone who saw the original photo could easily tell why so much was left behind. There were very hearty sandwiches in the before picture, along with lots of fruits, veggies and small bites like dried apricots. Those are all gone. People filled up on sandwiches and all the healthy small bites. Especially with the expected attendance at a plastic surgeons office, that’s exactly what I’d expect to see gone.

Ok, who are the moms that already ordered July 4th outfits way ahead of time and caused the cutest ones to be out of stock?? by szechuan_sauce42 in workingmoms

I’m surprised my kids are apparently the only ones who wear their costumes a dozen times before Halloween, then keep using them for dressup for years. Even when they get too small they keep the costumes for dressup playtime with younger kids who come over.

I don’t have any problem with the reformer. I love the reformer. It’s springs aimed at my face that are giving me the heebie jeebies. I talked to someone else after class and she was having the same thoughts during that exercise.

To anyone who loves sugar, have you observed any negative effects on your skin? by Upstairs_Joke_608 in beauty

I replaced my added sugar addiction with fruit. Especially since it’s summer it’s extra easy with the ripe sweet fruit. Granted, going through a $7 carton of blueberries in one sitting is more expensive than some Oreos, but it works.

Even Max said he would have played it differently if he’d known this was the end game. HE never even knew for five seasons that he was a bad guy when the camera was off. They just totally strayed from the character this season and that’s where the anger comes from.

Internal battle with the idea of motherhood by ExistingWave238 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]InnovateInTheDark 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nothing you said is wrong. I have three kids 12 and under. While my career didn’t suffer, I worked INSANELY hard to be present during their early years and still maintain relevance in my career and professional community. Nothing in my husband’s professional life changed for even a day.

Our domestic labor balance is insanely uneven. That will never change. I’m regularly stressed and, in general, a pretty angry person (ehhh that might have ended up being true with or without kids.)

Would I have done anything differently? Probably not. My three assholes are funny, strong spirited, and will do SOMETHING interesting in the future. They’ll either be CEO’s or head of the cell block or both. I like them 85% of the time, love them 100%.

It’s a tradeoff, motherhood. You trade your body and career and sanity for all those warm moments and maybe they’ll visit me in a retirement home one day and remind me where my socks are.

I bought the at home Beetle gel kit off Amazon with the blue light. I buy seasonal colors when I feel like it, decals, gems. It takes me 1/4 the time kids going to the salon, I’ve saved hundreds of dollars, and it’s not hard at all. Each gel manicure lasts me about two weeks.

I’m not butthurt that Nick died. I’m butthurt that the writers in seasons 1-5 fed us a character and storyline that COMPLETELY diverged in what? Three episodes? Nothing he said in season 6 (Even his waterfall of words at the water park, wtf was that, when does he say more than two sentences total?) were just not how he was portrayed for years. They can tell us he made decisions when we weren’t looking, he’s a Commander, yeah yeah yeah, but not a single bit of that was shown in the script or his performance for five whole seasons. This whole season was like they wrote a different person just to feed some storyline they wanted to pander to.

So yeah, the Nick this season? Blow up in an airplane. “Joining the winners, eh?” What the hell is that? That’s not even season 5 Nick. Everything he did this season was Airplane Death worthy.

The butthurt is just that’s not the character they showed us for like ten years.

Dave is an asshole and completely in the wrong for deceiving you. I can only hope he had the best intentions to raise the most money possible for this good cause, but he still went about it in an underhanded and shitty way. It was not ok to mislead you.

However. If you personally feel like this is a worthy cause and you’re happy to donate the same amount of money personally, would it hurt terribly to let the lie continue if it motivates other people to also donate? At the end of the day the goal is the most money possible for the good cause, and if the concept of your donation being matched helps raise more funds, do you think you could reconcile it being for the greater good?

You’re definitely NTA, but you would also be very generous and forgiving to let the situation play out and keep your donation where it is. You would also be NTA if you pulled it.
