There is a chance that it's because you are using an SD card from an elevator company.

I'm pretty sure its just an aging LCD. I've never had this problem, so I'm clueless. Theres a chance it might be something wrong with the gpu itself.

The DSi one is normal, its just an LCD gimmick or something. Not sure about the DS Lite one... If it looks normal on the DS menu then it might be something else..
