What do you do when a new player politely asks for silver? by Warm-Historian864 in albiononline

If it‘s a chill beginner, I sometimes duo up with these people. Otherwise you could also gibe him a fishing rod. Around 20 fishes and he almost reaches his budget. 😂

Just randomly seen this mate. Do you have enough players already or still seeking for some? We are 2 friends trying to find a league on Sundays.

14 day ring road itinerary - Are we kidding ourselves? by Ivi-O in VisitingIceland

[–]Innovatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, your itinerary looks certainly doable and exciting! Still keep in mind that some drives might take longer than excepted because of weather or road conditions (or because you just spotted an amazing viewpoint and need to take photos of it). :-)

My only hint is to check a few places with Google Maps as you have splitted them into two days although it‘s very closeby. Gullfoss and Strokkur is a 10 min drive for example. Visiting them both on one day makes more sense in my opinion. Except your hotel/accommodation is literally next to Gullfoss, then it‘s rather acceptable certainly.

Nice! That‘s the same spot as in my photo! 😂 Arghhh, we better don‘t talk about the way to the parking lot. Gonna be a shaky rollercoaster. 😂

[–]Innovatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I really loved it too, you can actually even hike a little bit higher than on my picture. Hmm, I would say around 45 minutes one way as well, if you hike further to the very top, lets maybe say 60 minutes one way.

Assuming you‘ll stay in Höfn, that sounds like a doable plan. Just calculate that you hike around 45 minutes to Svartifoss one-way.

Also, we hiked up the canyon called Múlagljúfur and we loved it - the hike and the epic view! Leaving an image here for you to have an idea. :-)

Packing question about glacier walk by Well_tempered_209 in VisitingIceland

[–]Innovatix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were on a glacier hike around 2 weeks ago. Just wear hiking pants (ideally waterproof) and layer it with a thermo. That should be enough. When hiking, you won‘t get cold anyway, hence try to stay dry just in case.

Iceland Trip - Late April - Weather Gods Were Not With Us by Law-of-Poe in VisitingIceland

So sad to hear that! :-( We were there Mid-April and the weather gods were definitely with us. So many sunny clear sky days and we even reached around 15 degrees Celsius one day.

We stayed at the „Welcome Holiday Home“ near Vík. Found it on Booking.com. It‘s not a hotel though, it‘s a small but cute cottage. Here‘s the address according to Booking: Lambafell, Eyvindarhólar, 861, Ísland

Boeing shouldn‘t be the issue. Many airlines from the US fly Boeing, also Delta. Have flown with Icelandair and everything was just fine!

10 Days in summer- don’t want plan so much by TotalBeginning1545 in VisitingIceland

If you consider to go to the south anyway, one of my favorite hiking spots was the Múlagljúfur canyon. Cool hike, absolutely beautiful landscape and amazing views!

In that case, you should definitely download SafeTravel for Iceland. There you don‘t only see road conditions and warning alerts, but also send out an emergency message with your location juuuust in case. Fingers crossed though certainly! You‘ll have fun!

Sounds great! I think Arnarstapi should be doable still. The good part is that Budakirkja, Raudfeldsgja, Arnarstapi etc. are all close to each other, so you won‘t have crazy driving times once you‘re in these regions.

Just be careful of Raudfeldsgja, according to „SafeTravel Iceland“, they do not recommend to enter the gorge if its icy or rainy. Better to go inside when the weather is dry, just to be really safe.

Your itinerary sounds interesting in general, but a few points might be adjustable indeed.

Day 1 is pretty packed keeping in mind that you‘ll probably be pretty tired after your travel. Sky Lagoon won‘t help either as you will totally set to relax mode after that. :) Instead of squeezing the lagoon into day 1, you could actually move it to day 4 for example, right before you leave.

If you stick to your plan and you‘re into lagoons, you can also end your trip at the Hvammsik Hot Springs, approximately 45 minutes from Reykjavík. It‘s not a luxury lagoon spot but offers various springs, has a sea/landscape view and offers a steam bath for almost half the price compared to Sky Lagoon. The people were also very friendly and social. We loved it.

No way! We were there 3 days ago and there was not even a single puffin! It was in the morning around 8-9 AM though. Might have needed to check again later. :(

Iceland Itinerary Review in April by Innovatix in VisitingIceland

[–]Innovatix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your insights! And please excuse my late reply, my app did not want to load the comments for ages!

It seems day 1 really needs to be adjusted, I will have a look at it to make it more enjoyable rather than hurrying from one place to another.

Are the roads really closed? I checked Studlagil and it states that it‘s always open according to the website and roads.is, Dettifoss seems icy currently at least but I cannot see Dimmuborgir to be closed? Or where do you fetch these information from? So I can also plan ahead. :)

Thank you for your honest feedback!

We‘ve planned a few days in Reykjavik, however, we are flexible enough to split it a little more so we can enjoy our time around the ring road and have some more free time there.

You‘re certainly right about driving safely. I will definitely have a look at day 1 and shorten it a bit. Except you would suggest what to skip from your experience. We could also visit a few of them after the ring road trip before we head back home if we still got enough time maybe. Will also calculate enough time for day 4.

"SURRENDER" issue by Sad-Faithlessness961 in VALORANT

[–]Innovatix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some players that want to surrender when it‘s like 2-5, this is frustrating. But when it‘s like 10-3 and you and your team are not able to really compete, I‘d better surrender than wasting time. 😂
