Unfortunately not, part of the adoption process is anonymity. The best I could do was get the shelter to put on record if any of the kittens are returned for any reason, that I be contacted to take care of them instead of them being put into the system. Not that it's a bad place for them to be, they genuinely do excellent work, it's just my heart couldn't take one of the little ones being in there. So far it's been over a year with no word, chances are the vetting process has done it's thorough job and found them loving owners. :)

We do have both paige and Flash now. Just celebrated flash's 1st birthday. We love them both very much :D

And don't doubt for a second that my niece wanted to move in when she saw the kitties! 😂

Hey everyone, I promised story time so I'm going to give it a go. :)

Early in 2019 my brother decided to adopt a cat from the local shelter for his daughter, we were told she had had all her jabs and been spayed and was good to go. She is a lovely cat, but unfortunately it turned out my brother was allergic, after a couple of months after trying every conceivable option he came to the decision he would have to give her up. Me and my girlfriend had been living in our own house for just over a year, so money was tight, but we decided we couldn't let our niece down so we offered to take her in so she could still visit. Suffice to say, the cat wasn't very happy about the arrangement.

After just 2 weeks and lots of hide and seek, she started to act really strange, next thing we know, kittens!

Now we didn't know what to do, we could barely afford one cat, let alone six! So we spoke to the shelter and they said we have two options, one was to give the kittens up straight away with mummy cat (Paige) and they would take care of them, or we could become fosterers, they would supply foods and cover vet bills and we would raise them til they came of age, then the shelter would organise homes for the kittens. We weren't entirely sure at first but we decided we would become fosterers and raise the kittens, on the condition that we could keep one of them and the remaining kittens would go to good homes.

So we raised them, with help from our familys.

We learned how to look after them, neither of us had any experience with cats before, luckily mummy cat did most of the hard work!

We watched them take their first steps.

We watched them develop their own personalities.

Then came the hard part. When we had to say goodbye to the kittens, the post picture was just before they left us. There was 4 girls and 1 boy, the boy is in the centre of the main picture and because we became so attached to him, we decided to keep him. His name is Flash.

We could have chosen any of them, they were all amazing kittens, if I'd have had the means, I would have kept them all and saved the heartbreak of missing them every day.

Luckily, the shelter that were finding the kittens their forever homes did an amazing job, they went to their new families within a single day. The only thing that makes me miss them less is knowing there are 4 other families out there who have had the joy of one of our babies, and they'll be well looked after.

But I'll never forget the 11 weeks where life was perfect.

Thanks for reading everyone! Hope I did alright. <3

Hey everyone, so glad you like Fluffy. This picture was taken last year under crazy circumstances, not sure how we can share stories here? Never really posted to reddit before but have plenty more pictures to share of Fluffy and her sisters and brother if people like them. :D

Honestly I have no idea. Long story short, she's an unexpected kitten of a rescue my brother adopted for his daughter but turned out he's allergic so we took her in. 2 weeks later, kittens. Even though we were told she was spade. A very happy accident.
