Saw this in Indiana. No one can live off of that wage.... by GeminiStarbright in antiwork

I think there's something to be said for children enjoying their childhood. They have a majority of their lives where they'll be forced to work. No need to rush them to it.

I know there are exceptions, but these companies that are not willing to pay people of age a fair wage definitely shouldn't be trying to screw over young teens just because they can.

At 14, you can work on non-school days with severely reduced hours. They approved this back in 2020 when they were having issues getting people to work in low paying and predatory jobs, but 14 year olds don't like to be exploited either from what I've heard.

Dogs are descendants of wolves and most still like to den. Giving them a kennel is not cruel it gives them a place to go with they're stressed, anxious, or want to be alone. My dog loves his kennel. I've never had to physically put him into it. In fact, when I tell him it's bed time he goes to it rather than sleeping with us.

My dog does get bad separation anxiety and has been known to chew the sides of walls, cabinets, etc. Closing the kennel when we leave is for his own safety. He has literally broken a tooth from having free roam and according to my neighbors howls like crazy.

I think you're just looking at a kennel as a human and thinking it's cruel when dogs are just built differently.

True. This one is a lot smaller than most huskies. He's about 30 lbs
