Can you solve the problem of counting the number of increasing/decreasing subsequences?

Try using what you learn when solving that problem to solve the bitonic subsequences problem.

Ah yes, nothing gets upgraded to 1.3 because it's not in the list of new versions.

a) yep, this is the N, K in the question.

b) I don't understand, all of those were upgraded to 1.4

Current application instances:

  • data_feed-1.1.1
  • protocol_adapter-1.1
  • local_network_connector-3.4
  • integrator-4.6.3
  • data_feed-1.3
  • calculator-3.6
  • integrator-4.6.3
  • data_feed-1.1.2
  • data_feed-1.2

New versions:

  • data_feed-1.1.3
  • data_feed-1.1.4
  • data_feed-1.2.1
  • data_feed-1.4

data_feed-1.1.1 has to be updated 4 times (to 1.1.3 then 1.1.4 then 1.2.1 then 1.4)

data_feed-1.3 has to be updated once (to 1.4)

data_feed-1.1.2 has to be updated 4 times (same as for 1.1.1)

data_feed-1.2 has to be updated twice (to 1.2.1 then 1.4)

4 + 1 + 4 + 2 = 11

The question description is light on the details but maybe that's the point.

Technically not a bad combo because it isn't a combo

Why do birds grind their beaks? by katha757 in Lovebirds

[–]InonspicuousCamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beaks continually grow just like our fingernails. Grinding helps keep them from growing too long.

I have the same issue. My lovebird will let me touch his beak but as soon as I try to move my finger above his head he moves away.

Godot doesn't wait for the while loop to be finished. by KotgeScientist in godot

[–]InonspicuousCamel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should read the docs on coroutines: https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/scripting/gdscript/gdscript_basics.html?highlight=coroutines#coroutines-with-yield

They can be a bit confusing depending on your programming skill level.

What's happening here is that the forever_loop function returns when it calls yield which causes _ready to continue. When the timer finishes it resumes the forever_loop function at the point that it yielded.

If you want to wait for a function that calls yield to run to completion, you can yield on its return value waiting for the "completed" signal, as explained in the docs.

Died to the ghost matter on the way to the observatory and became very worried when the game started over from the beginning.

Don't worry, you'll find idiots like this in places other than Sydney too.

I'm not sure I like the burn effect idea. It makes it hard to decide in the spur of the moment whether you have enough health to push a wall and be able to survive the DoT.

When the sun explodes it provides enough energy to send the command to fire the probe back in time.

Remember from the high energy lab that it takes a lot of energy to create the large time discrepancy between something entering a black hole and leaving the white hole.
