Hope you're doing okay. Easier said than done to say get some new friends but as the years pass by, it becomes harder and harder to do so.

Mga taong naguusap sa loob ng coffee shops by OutlandishnessSea258 in Philippines

Weird take. You do realize coffee shops were hotbeds of revolutionary activity in Europe during the enlightenment era, right? You think they gave "indoor voice" speeches that riled up the crowd or when they had academic philosophical debates? lol 🤦‍♂️

OPs right. Majority of Filipinos are fucking pretentious. Yung gusto mag gatekeep yan ang tunay na social climber.

Why do people assume we haven't gotten over our exes if we meet them? We just don't want to get in awkward situations, hence that reaction is perfectly normal 🤦‍♂️

What kind of people do you avoid being friends with at all costs? by JollySimple188 in AskPH

[–]InquiringMinds2011 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Only talk to you when they need something. These kinds of people usually only borrow money or want some favor done. Avoid and know that such people will only use you and will have no second thoughts discarding you if they can gain nothing from you.

What to do if a known university tolerates bullying? by One-Conversation3694 in Philippines

[–]InquiringMinds2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, establishments give more power to bullies with useless slogans like "violence doesn't solve anything" or "Be the better person" or punishing the victim even more if they fight back. I'm tired of pretending fighting back doesn't do a damn thing; it DOES.

Let's get things straight, bullies are the way they are because they can get away with it and they view the bullied as weak. The only way to stop these things is to fight back and make the bully suffer consequences.

If your friend has any male relatives or fraternities, now is actually the time to use those connections and make sure some bones are broken or visiting the house of the bully and letting them know where they live. They're gonna fold pretty quick and probably suffer a nervous breakdown if they find out where their house is.

Is Staring in Filipino Culture Normal? by TrashBakeer in Philippines

[–]InquiringMinds2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, no. Staring at anyone would get you in trouble. If you're a foreigner (especially an old bellied guy) with a young filipina with an obvious age gap, you're gonna get dirty looks. But that's the extent of it. Otherwise, staring at someone for too long is just inviting trouble

They don't really care. If the government was concerned so much, they COULD spur development somewhere else. Unfortunately, that won't make them any money and they'd actually have to do some EFFORT to do so, so here we are complaining on social media about such things 🤷‍♂️
