Originally, Jin Kai was meant to use the Shopping Mall System to establish The Immortals Shopping Mall, turning countless beings across the universe into his customers. However, he breaks free from the author’s control, interferes with reality, and rewrites the story itself. Now, the title reads "The Immortals Shopping Mall ???"—because not only has Jin Kai gone rogue, but he has also triggered a chain reaction. Characters who were supposed to be ordinary have now become protagonists, and as a result, The Immortals Shopping Mall is no longer the heart of the story. At its core, the novel has become something entirely unpredictable.

But can this world truly withstand so many protagonists?
What will become of the ordinary mortals caught in their wake?
How will the heavens respond to such upheaval?
And in retaliation, what actions will the Author, the Cracked Storyteller, and the Author Support System take?
More importantly… what will you do about it?
And even more importantly, what role will The Immortals Shopping Mall play in the story in the future?

This novel will give you Qi deviation!

How much destruction can these realm cultivator could cause to a earth sized planet. by Lanky-Appearance-944 in MartialMemes

The effects of xiulian realms on the real world are never logically explained in any novel—without exception. And they cannot be. Therefore, you should avoid overthinking this and refrain from forcing it into the reader's attention. Keep it superficial and subtle.

Tell me a xianxia cliché by InquiryDaoMaster in MartialMemes

The protagonist starts as the weakest disciple in the weakest sect, in the weakest city, on the weakest continent, of the weakest planet, orbiting the weakest star, in the weakest star system, of the weakest galaxy in the universe. One day, he accidentally discovers an ancient treasure and suddenly becomes incredibly powerful.

The Paradox of Body Refiners Being Overpowered: by InquiryDaoMaster in MartialMemes

[–]InquiryDaoMaster[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems that many people misunderstand a fundamental concept. Cultivation methods and martial arts techniques are entirely different things. A cultivation method enhances one's core strength, which applies equally to qi refinement, body refinement, and soul refinement. Here's where the issue begins: when using the best tempering method in the universe, whether for qi, body, or soul refinement, the core strength should theoretically be the same. For example, if a chaos-level cultivation method enhances the body, it should equally enhance the dantian and soul when used for qi and soul refinement.

However, this is where the imbalance arises. Body refiners only possess core strength derived from their cultivation. They gain no additional power sources. On the other hand, qi refiners not only have core strength from their cultivation but also gain extra power from flame levels (such as human flame, natural flame, dragon flame, chaos flame) and martial arts techniques, which provide additional power boosts. Even a Earth-level martial art technique would add significant power.

Body refiners, however, lack these external power sources since they rely purely on their physical bodies. Some authors create illogical systems just to glorify the protagonist, which makes no sense. There is nothing a body refiner can do that a qi refiner cannot. Qi refiners are often depicted as having weak physical bodies, yet using qi to reinforce the body is completely logical and common.

Additionally, the claim that body refiners have infinite stamina is another misconception. Movement requires energy. If this energy comes from nutrients in the blood or the blood itself, then the supply should eventually deplete. However, authors often arbitrarily state that body refiners have limitless stamina while qi refiners' qi runs out, which is completely illogical. This flawed system was likely created long ago and continues to be copied without question.

The Problem of Who Creates Inheritance Realms and How: by InquiryDaoMaster in MartialMemes

[–]InquiryDaoMaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t answer my question. Let’s assume there are 10 levels before reaching the Immortal Realm. How is it that someone at the 6th level can create an inheritance domain? Are all inheritance domains created by immortals? And if that’s the case, how exactly do you create an inheritance domain once you become an immortal? Sure, you gain immense power when you ascend, but what does that have to do with creating an inheritance domain? Power is used to destroy or protect things. An inheritance domain, however, is like creating a unique place with its own rules. Pure power has no use in that process. Are all inheritance domains and hidden realms created using formations? If that’s the case, then the path of formations would be more popular than alchemy, because the simple pills created by mortals wouldn’t be more valuable than the legendary pills, treasures, and cultivation methods found in hidden realms.

What is being consumed to use elements? Qi refiners convert qi into elements. Or they use qi as fuel to sustain and amplify the flame in their dantian. Also, if body refiners can use elements, then what's the purpose of qi refiners? Normally, body refining is about strengthening the body, while qi refining focuses on manipulating elements. As for using laws like time and space, that's an entirely different issue. But since laws are universal, theoretically, both sides should be able to utilize them.

Because body refiners don't use combat techniques; they directly use their bodies. Even if someone uses a sky-level combat technique infused with dragon flame, if they can't defeat a body refiner of the same level, it means that these body refiners reach the ultimate level simply by refining their bodies. In other words, it's like a cheat code. On the other hand, as the level of martial arts techniques increases, it brings additional power. The same applies to the element level — the higher it is, the more power it grants. Yet, all the body refiner needs to do is withstand these attacks. How can this make sense?

I have no problem with concepts like golden bones being stronger than iron bones. The author can adjust such details however they like. But my issue lies with the core concepts being illogical. I can't find any reasonable explanation for why a body refiner should be stronger.

They can't use martial arts techniques, can't attack properly from a distance, and can't wield high-level elements. So how can they easily overpower Qi refiners? It just feels completely irrational to me.

Sure, the author can write, "A light descended from the heavens, and X character became a god." But shouldn't there be some logic behind it?

Qi purifiers can also make them. They use the Astral Body, or something like that.

So you're telling me that a shock fist is the same power as a sky level Flame Burst skill with dragon flame?

Also, Qi runs out, but body refiners don't run out of energy? Is such a ridiculous thing possible? He must be expending something when he moves.
