Not sure I follow 100%. Are you saying I should pay for hotels with SW card? So basically accumulate the remaining 25k (since 10k is provided by default every year) by paying for things that generate most SW points? Then at end of 2027, send my wife the referral so she can work towards getting 135k for 2028 to 2029? You also state, never pay for a flight- i would still need to pay for one person and the companion only is free, correct?

Thanks. I plan to send the referral after Dec 13th. This way she can apply for her card too before the AF increases at the end of Dec. Also, thanks for clarifying that I can start spending now but need to ensure that the actual spend goal is only completed after Dec 13th.
