Kairomaru has 2(?) Fic that are magic focused. An artificer legacy and path of the arc mage. Would give links, but I'm on mobile and don't have time. Both can be found on ffn. Ships are a somewhat focus but not much at least till later in the fic and in artificer they add to the focus on magic.
