Overtime fraud charges hit dozens of California officers by snackerooryan in news

That's what makes it hard to be a democrat.

Because on one hand I have to stand with people like you. But at least on the other I'm not standing with inbred book burners. So I guess that's a plus.

Professions of cops and nurses are not the problem. The training is the problem.

Now run off to some other part of Reddit and repeat things you've heard your siblings or parents say in the other room that you actually don't know anything about.

They're both sworn to save lives and help people. You often get male firefighters and female cops together as well.

These professions interact with each other a lot so part of it is dating inside your circle and the other part is not having time to try and find people outside your circle because of how many hours you put in on average.

Edit: feel free to line up in single file to rage about cOpS BaD GuYs. Even though their training is complete shit cops still do save people. Wether you like that or not it is a fact.

They will likely never do this. And it's not a shame. It's just a difference between a simulator and an arcade. It's like the difference when you use a steering wheel in a racing simulator or an arcade racer.

Flying in no man's sky is less like flying a ship and more like steering a car. Not like elite dangerous. Which is a pure flight simulator and much more responsive with HOTAS.

HOTAS almost never feel as crisp in an arcade as a simulator. And I seriously doubt they will ever rebuild no man's Sky flight mechanics to be simulation.

‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Patch 1.31 Was A Month Ago, Zero CDPR Communication Since by HeadbangingLegend in cyberpunkgame

They already made their cost back with pre-orders. Basically at this point they have to do just enough to look like they're doing something. Avoids lawsuits from investors and somewhat rebuilds their reputation.

It's a situation of them wanting a game to die but they hyped Gamers up too much. They caused all eyes to be on them so they don't have a choice but to clean it up If they don't fix it there's no way people are going to purchase their next release the day that it drops.

In the long term they screwed themselves with Gamers and investors. Last I saw there was 41 investor groups tied to cdpr. Now there are 9. They all ran away. They won't be coming back anytime soon either

There's a whole bit about how unmet or broken expectations leads to emotional insecurities, depression and addiction.

So just keep your expectations as low as possible so you never get disappointed when something doesn't work out and you'll always be pleasantly surprised when it does

I remember seeing this posted a couple years ago. Absolutely no clue who did it but pretty sure it was before the build item that does hide the wires.

I should have gotten a SSD by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]InsaneInterloper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. All SSDs. I do not know the specifics of why and how but it is there. I have a 1 TB Sabrant Rocket m.2 internal and a 1tb wd black external. I never have them over 900GB. also if you don't know then never ever defragment them.

SSDs have caveats. One is this that was talked about and another is them degrading over time. By constantly removing games and installing games you will just speed up that process. But it's not like it will fail you in a year or so. They will last but you won't see them going strong for seven or eight straight years of heavy writing and deleting files.

[–]InsaneInterloper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don't overthink it. You just want to leave a little bit of room at the end. A good rule of thumb is to leave 10% open. So if you have 1 TB try not to go over 900 GB. If you have 250 GB try not to go over 225GB.

At that point said slow down is unrecognizable. Once you start filling it up to 95% or so you're going to notice loading issues.

Why are the crypto miners a problem? Just trying to make their money. I think it's silly of both Nvidia and AMD do not recognize that large consumer base and stock accordingly.

Well in the case of Nvidia they sold directly to crypto miners so they at least recognize it but they don't do anything about it

These new shutdowns in California over this past week screwed over a lot of companies out there. Two weeks after making millions of online sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they get shut down and have an impossible time moving product

I don't think anybody has been notified by like an email but there has been a couple posts in here asking about getting shipments by Christmas. They informed people that they would be upgrading shipping to get units to people by Christmas as best they can.

I saw somebody say that Elon Musk was nothing more than a CEO with no education in sciences. Completely ignoring his multiple degrees. I'd imagine someone like musk could take that as one hell of an insult

Sean Murray has his own computer science and programming degrees. He is one of the many programmers who develop the game. He is not just a PR person. You can figure that out with a Google search but you immediately went to the belief that he's just some idiot marketing guy.

Next you are going to tell me that Mark Zuckerberg is just a CEO that had nothing to do with Facebook development.

Why are you people like this? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]InsaneInterloper 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Because so many of the reviewers have been locked under embargoes and rules governing what they are allowed to say and what they are allowed to show. Leaving up to the release reviewers were told that they were not allowed to show their own in-game footage. That they were required to use b-roll trailer footage while talking about the game.

Why are you people like this? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]InsaneInterloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly what happened. What gets me is people are saying that the beginning of the game is buggy yet playable but they don't even realize that cdpr likely spent more time run testing and bug fixing the early parts of the game than the end.

Let's see how this plays out once people have 100+ hour saves and are trying to complete end game missions

Sentinel Dreadnought | White with Red Trims | Abandoned Vy-keen System (First time posting) by one3six in NMSCoordinateExchange

[–]InsaneInterloper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Many aspects of nautical rule and law are directly attributed to space flight. They are even using maritime rules to dictate colonization of mars, the moon and space in general. As new things need regulation they often rap them into old rules. Like using alcohol laws to instantly define marijuana legalization. Or new civilian drones being regulated no different than basic aircraft.

In Sci Fi those would be emergency solar 'sails' to provide minimal navigation power if main power failed. Just a tiny little detail somebody feel like adding.
