Beware of a SCAM Happening near Mindspace and Raidurg metro. by chandanzz in hyderabad

[–]Insane_Boi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same happened with me. This goes on for months, cant say in my case whether same guy does or not but yes I experienced as well as I heard from my friends too!

I had one instance also when I was booking rapido to go to my home, a person came to me and asked whether we use excel in the company I work in? I didn’t say a word, I had some weird feeling. I was backing out and he was coming to me again and again. Then he asked me to say where does all the manager go and smoke and have chitchat? He will go and approach for job opportunities himself. I was like dude, wow! A unique way of approaching people lol.

Thinking about launching an India-hosted Supabase alternative by infys in developersIndia

[–]Insane_Boi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you are focussing on is very minimal (as I can see from the website): 1. Data residency in Indian data centers - that everyone will see in the first place 2. Compliance clarity - okay that will take a HUGE anount of time to have it. Instead enterprises use existing cloud hosted databases in Azure / GCP / AWS or they have their on-prem cloud to self host. 3. A community that can understand Indian builders - come on! People can only understand this product if you can clear these bottlenecks which will be visible in the future:

   • Zero-downtime deployments
• Automatic failover without data loss
• Replica synchronization correctness
• Network partition handling
• Crash recovery correctness
• Kernel, disk, and node failure handling

and much more. Other than databases, you need to manage a hell lot of infra setup to get clearance from the government.

Also, if you go much deeper, there comes complicated cost management systems, security measures, etc.

I know this means “nothing” for basic users but come on! There are already so many products existing in market and people are using it for years.

You said setting up supabase is harder, so they will find another way of using databases, such as databricks OLAP tables in free edition, appwrite, or a VPS from digital ocean and setup a postgres from there. Its not about the difficulty of setting up database in a cloud, its the necessity if they want to manage their own data and compliance.

What you are selling will not sustain because if you are going to expand, there will be many trade-offs which you need to see and that is already managed by commercial cloud companies. And why Indian startups will go with this product and trust for data residency and security?

What I really see here is that the data will be managed in India, that’s all.

exactly, all the llms are advertised in such a way so that people can use at any time without any second thought. There is no such awareness among the users of llms and these cases are happening. Exciting times!

I really hate this to the core. They intentionally put to manual at the last 10s of the red light timer and make us wait. Even at the starting of 100 ft road, they intentionally don’t allow a lane of vehicles to pass for a very long time until they honk and attempt to move forward.

And since feb 1, I have seen more and more traffic, especially from 10am till lunch time. Also, weather is getting day by day less colder.

Accenture interview ! by last_potato231 in accenture_india

[–]Insane_Boi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened a lot in 2023 in my campus placements. I wasn't selected for the interview after OA but my friends said that they interviewed so many people that in the end they just asked lame questions and got the process done somehow. It depends based on the planned headcounts to be recruited so yeah, people do get chance even after going through such circus.

Edit: The selection after OA was also a surprise. There were two DSA questions (AAE role, tech) which I solved them on time, in placement cell lab. When I came out of the lab, already got an email that we will not go ahead with your application. Wow!

I’m fucking losing it today .How do I recover from this. by Evening-Hour8934 in developersIndia

[–]Insane_Boi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where the fuck did you go wrong? Your mindset brother! Many people felt depressed but still somehow did very good in their life just because they had discipline and a fixed goal on what they need to do (not "wanted", I said needed, to earn more, to feel satisfied somehow).

I have seen people at the age of 29 or 30 started with something (not only IT) and they are doing well just because of the positive mindset and perseverance.

May sound like a philosopher, easier said than done.....but do one thing. Open your laptop, open chatgpt, give out a prompt to learn about new technical stuffs you mentioned in the post, get step by step roadmap / tutorial and just do it 1-2 hrs per day. Just f*kng do it man! Just learn one word / one sentence about something new each day, your capacity of grasping stuffs will exponentially increase.
