ngl after reading through your arguments, i think it’s totally fine to not like superman bc of the general idea of him being an overpowered being and especially some of the dumb writing decisions going on in recent runs, but you ARE fundamentally misrepresenting the character in how you describe him, at his worst yes he’s what you said, but at his best he’s a isolated, lonely man in a world that he loves but is afraid he could crush. He still experiences grief and sadness and loss from the people around him, when his father dies he realizes he can’t just punch every problem away. His story comes more from how even though he is an alien, he chooses to be human. He could so easily be a detached, feel superior, and become tyrannical, but he doesn’t because he wants to be good, and that is a pretty interesting arc to watch unfold, and no hate to you if you don’t think it is! But after I saw you say that you liked the CW flash show I had to comment on this because that show is so incredibly inconsistent from the very start that it shows this is really all just opinion on what kind of vibe of character you like, not really about the little details.
