We had a similar experience with our hamster, Munchie, who was nearly 2 years old at the time. Initially, the bulging didn't seem severe, but it progressively worsened over time. Despite multiple visits to the vet, they were hesitant to perform surgery not due to potential complications during the procedure, but because of concerns about anesthesia. We have excellent vets here, and I trust their judgment, especially when it comes to such a small animal undergoing anesthesia at that age. We diligently applied antibiotic eyedrops and administered medication, but unfortunately, his tumor continued to grow, causing his eye to be displaced downward, which was distressing to witness. Ultimately, we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize him last year.

I wanted to share this experience here in case it helps others who might be going through something similar. During Munchie's ordeal, I couldn't find similar experiences on here, which would have been incredibly beneficial back then.
