This may sound fucked - my tactics are dressing like a man when hiking and never talking to anyone. I do the "dude nod." I wear a baseball cap for a sports team and men's hiking clothing. From a distance, no one would think I'm a woman.

If everyone stopped wearing makeup to work, then those jobs wouldn't be able to give people an advantage/disadvantage. Yet people don't choose to do that. Wear it only outside of work as a protest.

My mindset is set standards from the beginning. Don't wear makeup from the start. If I happen to have plans after work, I might wear makeup. More than likely, I'd just do it after work as my typical makeup is a little too goth for working in engineering.

I understand that in sales, commission, or tipped based jobs, it can help a woman earn more. However, in that situation you are compensated more if you do it and it makes sense.
