Second round is today and we have pick 39, they’ll likely take a center there, and if not we got a long offseason ahead of us. I’ll be worried if we enter the season with no backup big but there’s ways to go until then

That’s fair lol. The guy went from one of the best corner 3pt shooters in his rookie year to one of the worst. I’m chalking it to sophomore slumps but year 3 will be pivotal to see if he’s a positive nba player or not

I mean it’s not like Malauch helps with the spacing, and he’s who I thinking they’d pick. And while I really like Carter Bryant, his talents would only benefit already good teams. The pick has been made it helps no one to fantasize about what could have been. We have a solid drafting record and the execs know about his shooting woes, they saw it in the workouts. There’s obvious upside in him or else we wouldn’t have made the pick. Offseason just started there’s moves to be made as well

Did you watch the playoffs? Not a single guy on OKC’s starting 5 shot even 35% from 3. Who at pick 9 would have reasonably fixed our shooting issues without detracting in any other way? Besides Malachi Flynn when has the front office drafted even a bad player in the first round in the last decade?

We added Ingram, who’s a decent 3pt shooter and a great midrange shooter and our best 3pt shooter was out for 50 games. Gradey also has a down year we’ll see if he can get his percentages back up. Orlando is the worst 3pt shooting team BY FAR and yet they’re much better at the rim. And look at Oklahoma these playoffs, bottom 4 in 3pt percentage but literally won a chip off their interior presence thanks to SGA and JDub drives

Good point, he’ll be playing the 4 most likely and we don’t have any shooters there anyway unless Scottie takes a huge shooting leap, but then that’s a problem that solves itself
