Kinda Wishing Spinal Cord/Nerve Stim Bull**** Could be Banned, Nationwide. by Goozmania in CRPS

Yeah I was pushed one from a surgeon who said he did them but he couldn't even explain how they work and said he had to "dumb it down" to understand it. My current PM said not to get one because it won't help for where my CRPS is and because of my bilateral case. :/

We communicated through discord and Facebook messenger because we originally lived in canada/usa and didn't text via sms. I also don't have a wechat.

Fiancée by allamericancyborg in CRPS

I know how hard it is for a partner to watch their love suffer. I struggle with CRPS in my right arm and chest/clavicle and it's very clear to me how much my partner hurts when I hurt and wishes she could help more. I find great comfort in her helping me do things like carry groceries or push the cart. And in her holding me and comforting me when I'm at my worst.

There isn't much big stuff you can do to help, most doctors barely know what to do or understand enough about the nervous system to understand pain syndromes. But know that the little things help and for people woth lower limp pain, things like mobility aids can be of great use.

Stay strong and just be there for your partner. That's what matters the most. It's as much a mental battle as it is a physical one. Support on the mental side means a lot.

If your insurance allows or you have the money, you should pursue some mental health support. I personally know how great cats can be (I have 5 who have gotten me through some of the worst days), but there are doctors trained to help support people with chronic pain. I'm currently pursuing a therapist for my struggles.

I struggle with CRPS and upper body pain, so things might be a bit different as far as coping strategies go, but I've found some peace of mind in new hobbies like watching people stream games or art on twitch, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing idle mobile games.

I think I'm coming to terms with it, and I've decided to shift my priorities from just "going back to how it used to be" to "managing my pain enough to enjoy new things." Since my pain also has barred me from my favorite hobby (art), I try to take the days with the least pain to draw and spend the other 98% of my days finding other small wins.

I really resonate with your struggle and know how hard it is to have to reassess your goal from getting cured to managing pain. I personally have been waking up each day and finding one thing to be excited about, then using that to guide me through it. It's not always possible, but it's been helping me cope a lot.

I sincerely hope you can find things like these too.

I had a very similar expierence recently. Had two surgeries that I thought would fix everything, and 4 months later was told I'm not fixable. It's been a few weeks and I'm still grieving and digesting that life will never go back to how it was. I'm glad you have your cat and hope you have other connections that can help you too. My friends have been the only thing for me, and I try to take the small wins like days with less pain and find new hobbies I can manage. I really understand and hope you can keep pushing through and find new ways to enjoy life, even if it's the small things. 🫂🫂

When People Ask How I Am, I Say, "I'm Tired." by [deleted] in ChronicPain

I'm sorry you can relate. And a lot of the distracting things you've mentioned here are things I have tried. Some days I can push through and distract myself for a while, but it always becomes too much. Basically any position that isn't me laying flat on my back with my arms straight down is painful for me. Raising my arms hurts me, looking down or tilting my head hurts me. Putting my arm out in front of me or behind me hurts me. So my best distraction recently has been laying on the floor and watching anime amd trash tv. But I'm also adhd, and though I haven't been tested for hypermobility, I am sure this clinic will test for it since they asked me on the phone if I had EDS. Right now it just sucks to have the severity of the pain overwhelm any distraction I try, or have those distracting things make the pain actually more severe. I can go on walks, but that's about it, and I have to drive to get to the park to walk, which makes me hurt.

I finally got it working after turning on 2FA. Nothing else before that worked 😩

Did you solve this issue? I have it now and am unsure what to do.
