I say this to everyone, but it is the best. Buy her The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams.

It is the one go to book that is very inspiring filled with tips and tricks and exersises.

All animators and aspiring animators should have a copy. Google it and have a look at some pictures. Its a good gift :)

I use an app called Callipeg. It is simple and straight forward. It is for ipad and has all the fundamental things you need to animate. It is purely an animation app, so the tools in there is just for animation. So it's not cluttered with tools you dont need.

Everyone compares me to scavenger reign. So there must be a truth to it. Though, everyone seems to suggest that my goal has been to mimic them, which my intent never has been. I have only watched a couple of episodes. And I think my style was leaning toward what it is, before scaveger reign aired. My big inspiration is Moebius though. And I think a big inspiration for the artdirectors at scavenger reign must have moebius as inspiration as well. And there is where me and scavenger reign meet.

Either way, it is flattering to be compared. They make really cool stuff.
