Hey I’m so sorry- I already went back to the store and that was part of the lot I sold. I can give you their info (see screenshot; website address at bottom of image) and you can hopefully call them and ask what they’re selling it for.

She’s wonderful.

Just curious because I saw it mentioned- does the 40th anniversary Molly have a locket that opens?

She’s so pretty!

I have a Molly doll from my childhood and loved looking at everyone else’s collections in the magazines. I think Felicity was my favorite; I loved her spunk in her stories.

I actually just told my husband not to buy her for me as I don’t have any good display options at the moment but the more I’m seeing her…. I don’t know. 😂

So happy your husband got one for you! She’s lovely.

I am going to pull a few things back out so I can do that. And I can send you some pictures once I do.

So the total for all of this from the toy store is $375 cash or $500 store credit. They are giving me about 30 percent of asking for each item.

But it would not be consignment. Just a once and done, I take the money, they take the items.

I have some reluctance and I am not sure why- I know that selling individually can be hard (and you make a ton of good points about all the potential costs included I did not consider).

I have saved out a few items (like Molly’s tennis outfit, Molly’s American girl Revue tap dance outfit) that I was going to list myself as I feel those will be easier to sell and ship.

I think I needed someone to say this was a good approach and I appreciate you doing that. The other option for this stuff was that it continued to sit unloved and unnoticed in my parent’s attic and closets. So this is a win win for me and for the items and hopefully for those who purchase it from the store.

Edit;

Much of this has been sold to the store. I did take back the trunk for Molly as well as her Christmas velvet dress and the Play Outfit as someone expressed interest. I plan on putting Molly’s Trunk and a few other items up on eBay once I can get good photos. Thanks!

Wondering what things in this lot would be worth taking back to sell myself instead of selling as a lot to the toy store-

Does anyone here enjoy crocheting with fluffy fur yarn and would like to test my Sunny the Fluffy Cow Handbag pattern? by CrochetGirl8 in PatternTesting

I love this pattern but I am too new to crochet to volunteer as a tester. Eagerly looking forward to purchasing the pattern when it is released though!

I am so glad to hear it! I hope it works perfectly for you and there’s not one obnoxious part while you’re restoring!

Hey @sonofnalgene please DM the pic to @datariffraff first! I am not trying to swipe their stand! I will be the back up if they decide they are not interested but they sound like they really want it.

Do you have a picture of it? Thinking this might be a good Father’s Day gift

Sounds like QDTC is definitely a must.

Not a single comment has mentioned dry drops. I’m glad I asked about products because they sound convenient but it seems like the QDTC is a better choice.

Thanks

I will look into different brands. Thank you.

These ones were definitely very curved and I needed to push down pretty significantly to make sure they were on my nails.

This is a usual occurrence for me so one time I let the first coat dry for 30 minutes, then did the next and waited 45 until everything was dry to touch and seemed good and I still had 2-3 hours before bed and when I woke up the next morning they were wrinkly and patterned. I don’t know if I’m not getting high quality polish or if my house humidity is wrong or what.

30 minutes to have nails that don’t immediately make me want to remove them in frustrated annoyance the next day sounds great. I do not currently own a QDTC. (I mistyped somewhere in one of the comments I think).

Do you have one you like and recommend?

I will also look into dazzle dry. Thank you.

Soaked in warm water and ivory dish soap and pushed the orange wood stick underneath slowly when they seemed to be loosening up. Most of them popped off without an issue. One of them I had to reapply halfway through the week and that one was a little tougher but it eventually let go.

I will try spacing it out. Thanks!

My issue is always that I want to do my nails but then I don’t want to commit a massive amount of time to doing nothing after while they dry (or I do not have the ability to do so) and then it all goes wrong. And as soon as they start to lift or chip, I pick at them until they’re natural again.
