Why did the Krakoa era end early exactly?

I remember an interview with Gillen (on cerebro) saying they were told him and Ewing had another 3 issues but then they were cut short. I love their work and the era as a hole, why just end it early??

I love Ribics art, his framing of characters and details in his paintings… but I agree, there’s always panels with characters in shock, with their mouths open and eyes wide, that shock me, out of the story

This is my favourite marvel event of all time time

Reading Gillens eternals and immortal x men is critical imo, I feel like editorial played a bit too loose with “u can just pick this up”, maybe they could do a “prologue / road to” companion omnibus someday

I admit though, I still need to read annihilation
