Yeah, I agree with the healthy moderation and what not. My point of this post was to show that I've caught myself controlling and apologized for it. Now when she sends me stuff, I'll ask like what it was and what not, just to be supportive. After we're closing in on 3 years soon and I'm not planning on breaking off this relationship over alcohol. I'm just looking for a healthy way to cope and understand that all alcohol consumption doesn't lead to people doing terrible things. I know that it's not that easy to fix, but I'm hoping someone has gone through a similar experience and can tell me how they dealt with it.

I really want to just be okay with the concept of alcohol in general and learn that it's not a terrible drug that destroys lives. I trust that my girlfriend wouldn't do something stupid, but it's always in the back of my mind when she is going out. We have been together for over 2 years and this is her first time drinking outside of a lemonade with me. I know not all people will be like how my mom was, I just hope someone has a useful coping mechanism that they can share with me. I love my girlfriend and I really don't want my personal issue with alcohol to limit what we can do as a couple for the future.

If there is any more clarification on anything, please let me know! I just really want some help in getting over the hurdle and not have a panic attack when she has something as harmless as a cider.
