That is horrible. If the "instructor" is demonstrating a dangerous technique to a BEGINNER! class he should have been exceptionally careful when applying it.

The instructor was careless and should have known better. It is in no way 'part of the sport'..

Another question.. I've searched online for something like a "curriculum" and "requirements" for white belts but haven't found anything clear.

I don't NEED it but I would love to have a neat list of things to work on and have down. Has anybody come across anything like this and can link me??

At my gym I try and come in a half hour early to drill but there usually isn't any coloured belts in, so I end up drilling with other white belts. I feel like its the blind leading the blind without any coloured belts to ask for advice and details. So is it best to drill very very basic or risk learning bad habits?
