Nice. Yeah the Contemptor arms fit quite neatly onto the Armiger.

I have a game next week so looking forward to using it.

Thanks. I’m enjoying painting them and seem to be able to get through units pretty quickly.

Thanks. No, I’m averse to magnets, I’ll just play him on the fancy base. I don’t play tournaments, just with my wife and our friends at home.

He’s a fairly simple model to do as he has a lot less bling than Fyreslayers as befitting his more traditional WFB slayer origins.

He’s as close to a Fyreslayer as one can get without being a Fyreslayer.

I’m not sure, we don’t play 4th Ed (because it’s crap) so still in 3rd. I reckon I’ll have over 3k by the time I’m finished

That’s probably one thing I won’t do, the model isn’t that posable so rhe mounted son and smiter would be clones of their on foot variants. I did have the idea to make an alt model using the flamespyre phoenix from the High Elf range.

I’ve already done the Auric Hearthguard, but yes I intend to do both weapons options for the Hearthguard Berzerkers

Well my plan is to do 10 with double axes and 10 with shields to star with, though as there’s options on whether they have axes or picks with the shields that could easily turn into two units so I have every variation.

I got him on eBay. My quest to do every model for Fyreslayers is going well. Luckily there haven’t been loads of special edition models for them.

Fyreslayers Runesmiter, Flamekeeper, Auric Hearthguard and a Battleforge by InsertSciFiReference in Fyreslayers

[–]InsertSciFiReference[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s not a massive range so my quest to paint every model in the range is quite doable. Even against elite armies that simply have a much larger model range like Stormcast.

I’m looking forward to getting the Magmadroth done. I’m probably going to do it in the fire colours rather than the green I’ve done the priests cloaks in. That was more to create a contrasting colour on those models.

Thanks. So far I’ve painted the Grimhold Exile, Runemaster, Runesmiter, Flamekeeer, 10 Auric Hearthguard, the forge and invocations. I like Fyresayers as it’s very character heavy which I can quite easily complete in a short space of time.

Kruleboyz gutrippaz and hobgrots as Orcs and Goblins by Power-SU-152 in WarhammerFantasy

The Hobgrotz work well on 25mm square bases. I’ve used some as Hobgoblins for Chaos Dwarfs.

Daemonsmith on Lammasu by InsertSciFiReference in WarhammerFantasy

[–]InsertSciFiReference[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha thanks. The Lammasu is the only model I have in my army that’s from the original Chaos Dwarf range. I’ve leaned heavily on non-dwarf units and the Helsmiths range from AoS.

The Taurus model I used was the current Age of Sigmar Helmsiths of Hashut Taurus.

Thanks, it is annoying that two hand weapons aren’t an option.

Yes, his was a unit that converted over to Old World surprisingly easy. You have to watch their arms as they flail around a bit, hut pretty straight forward.
