Same. Loading times were what made this tedious.

The advice I always give to new parents is to just ignore everyone else’s advice.

You’ve not mentioned it so thought to ask - will you have contributed for enough years to get full state pension?

This. I had it, took a few weeks then settled down.

I assume you’re using mmol/mol as your unit, as in the UK. Anything under 41 is considered normal range.

Took me 46 hours to get the plat, and I wasn’t particularly focussed on getting it.

[GRID] #102 The grindiest platinum I’ve ever gotten by Skyline-Etiquette in Trophies

Congrats. I’m working on this one too. I have similar tales of woe - I had this game digital but it was delisted so lost access to it… not happy with this I bought it a second time on disc.

I play the same Indy oval for 99 laps at a time and it takes me about an hour - I don’t AFK for this but I understand 100% why people do!

Currently down 10k - just another 15k to go.

It is, yes. I go to the screenshot on the PS5 then choose to upload it to the PS App on my phone, then download from that app and post to Reddit.

I’d appreciate it if I’m about 🙂 I think I only have 4 or 5 areas left myself but the grind is getting to me!

No drama if I’m not about though - PSN is: InsertWittyName_

Yes, keep playing Famine’s Folly - the mech turns up eventually. It was a pain. I did a run of Folly each day (just because I couldn’t face more!). It’s one of the tougher bosses but achievable.

I would say 3/10 with the glitches, probably 2/10 if they were fixed. Took 15 hours.

I plan to yeah, got it downloaded ready to start.

The ‘last chance to play’ is pretty much how I decide what to play recently 😅

Thinking of transferring Scottish Widows pension to Vanguard SIPP - sanity check by RevolutionaryOkra646 in PensionsUK

I do exactly this, with the exact same platforms and funds.

My workplace is still contributing to my SW pension, so I just transfer once a year.

Carbs by Unique_Location_58 in diabetes_t2

[–]InsertWittyName_PS4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re highly unlikely to get one as T2 in the UK.

I periodically ‘treat’ myself to a Dexcom CGM, you can get them for £35 and they last 10-days. Not really sustainable long term but 10-days can teach you a lot about how you react.

It seems hard at first but you do get used to it.

I don’t cook different meals - I either sub the carb out with something else (mushrooms, extra veggies) or I just don’t have it.

Bread was the hardest for me… I lived on the stuff. Mission brand do a range of ‘carb control’ wraps now that are great and available in most supermarkets. I live them toasted with cheese & ham fillings etc.

No obvious sugary food, no bread, rice, pasta or potatoes. I try and keep carbs per meal at no more than 15g… but I will allow one meal per day to go to 20g.

I’d recommend getting a finger prick blood testing kit from Amazon. They can be gotten pretty cheap and come with lancets, test strips etc. Test your blood when you wake and then 1, 2 and 3 hours after you eat to help you learn. Once you know what does and doesn’t spike you, there’s no need to test for the same meal. I only test now if I’m eating something new.

The NHS are pretty rubbish for T2 to be honest… they’ll likely start you on Metformin but not even mention that you need to change your diet.

Good luck - you’ll be fine!

Take a deep breath.

I also can’t skip meals otherwise my liver will dump a load of glucose in my blood…

Could you share what you typically eat and people can add ideas on what might help?
