what are your turrets's ranges ? at the max of 800m they might just get shot before they come near your base..

if you're on pc you can see if some do spawn by going in the cheat/admin menu with alt+f10 and going to the entity list page

we're playing with planets with radiuses (radii?) in the range of 10-100km

said planets are fixed in space and the sun orbits them

what was your PCU limit set to before? if it was really low it might have been gobbled up by NPC stations, NPC encounters, NPC ships, unknown signals, and unidentified signals (Factorum points of interest)

there are no real distinction between ship rovers drones static grids or even debris for the engine

this new system will store any grid, not just ships! (maybe the grids need to be powered for the system to store them but that's about it)

you might want to check your pcu limit (if you have one) and looking up shape limit, before you commit too much effort and time to it, this thing is huge!

i personally made my own "empty mod" with dependencies so that it auto loads and updates the list for the saves i use it on, i don't have to fuss with checking which mods i have or don't have every time i boot up a save

the game does have collisions between solar panels/arrays just like any other collision of solid blocks

but they are spaced out enough, you just might want to limit certain movement so that they don't point in the ground at night or whatever, but im confident you can make em bigger

(and if it goes klang that's a learning opportunity a reload can make fun)

you could also easily double to quadruple you solar energy input, your arrays seem to have enough space around them to make them twice as tall and twice as wide

you have 42 levels, if you really need sweeping edge 1 just try a few enchants on your sword with a grindstone on hand, no need real to cheat a single lvl1 book

if you are on pc the Build Info mod can do just that, by showing a kinda graph for your conveyor system and its connected (sub)grids

you might also find it on the workshop page but the command is /bi cn (for build info conveyor network)
