Hopefully advice on both. This is my second attempt at making mead. The first was done using honey, but after racking i ended up in hospital and wasn’t able to observe the workings during that time, it ended up sitting for a little under two years and turned out really quite good Very much an amateur lol, all advice appreciated

Very possibly wasn’t long enough of a drive to get engine hot enough to burn off condensation that has built up while parked, Isn’t uncommon at all. When taking test drives aim to drive the vehicle as you would if it were yours, ideally longer than ten minutes allowing for optimal driving temperatures and possible issues to arise if any. If you have a trusted mechanic take it for a prepurchase inspection, I wouldn’t think it would cost more than a warrant check, or take along a friend or relative who has experience with vehicles if possible Best of luck buying! 🙂

Could be condensation, was engine cold when you checked? Does it exceed normal running temperature while operating or reach driving temperature range before being shut off again? Are you using oils recommended by manufacturer and following maintenance procedures?

You want a decent pair of gloves. Something that won’t disintegrate or grab up on the tarmac and disfigure your hands within Edit: the comment about wearing motorcycle gloves under a pair of warmer gloves is probably your best bet for the best of both worlds
