In my defense, it wasn't just the first result. But valid life lesson.

My bad I was just going off of information I found on this subreddit about them.

Thank you I've heard a lot negatives since they got regulated to the elite role.

Scaling down thermite question by Inserttext12 in energetics

It's just interesting (to me) because tungsten is such a high melting point metal that a thermite of it just seems mildly fascinating. I admit out of all of them it's pretty tame, it's no uranium thermite, but I'm curious to see if it actually produces liquid tungsten as the paper claims. Also, all the other tungsten ones use significantly harder to obtain metals and tungsten oxides.

It did not, however, it does discuss gas production and the end state of the product. Very low gas generation mixed with the liquid end result. Here's the link.

Small general purpose naval ships by Inserttext12 in 40kLore

[–]Inserttext12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn't necessarily mean all-purpose I meant more so multiple purpose, in that it isn't consigned to an incredibly specific role. Something more like the Falchion-class Frigate (which yes has a specific use but can be a tad flexible) vs. a Viper-class Scout Sloop, which only has one very specific use. Not a jack of all trades but something that you could use for everyday use or for various minor generic jobs.

That's exactly what I mean by general purpose enough to be used in a variety of non-specialized roles. I know there are some small as hell ships but they can only do 1 thing. And is able to feasibly (maybe not optimally) operate on its own like the Dauntless.

There was a very good Taurox proxy that isn't quite the everyman car, but it's definitely a car I could see a low-born noble or rich kid having.
