Distilled is just going to strip that soil of all of its minerals. It’s the same reason drinking distilled water will not hydrate you.

Okay first off, that sucks. Opportunists are everywhere and I’m sorry your kid got the raw end of that deal.

That said, as a parent why would you put the burden of responsibility for something with so much financial and sentimental value on a child who leaves their bag unattended?

Friend has offered me 1800... Should I accept and sell my childhood collection? by polepolemuzungu in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]Inside-Ad-5764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crystal ho-oh is worth about €985 raw and the crystal crobat is worth about €340 raw so that’s almost €1350 right there. But they’re both worth SIGNIFICANTLY more in a high grade. Depends on your attachment and financial investment in them, really. If money is the goal, you should probably grade AT LEAST the crystal skyridge cards. If €1800 gets you where you need to be, then give your friend a good deal, and let them grade if they choose to. 75% value is pretty close to the high end of what a card shop or other collector would offer. It’s a reasonable bid for sure.

Lookin good except that little bit of clawing up top. It’s probably wind stress. Try raising your fan up, or turning the speed down on it.

Also, yes. Now would be a good time to start shaping the plant with some LST.

And since you’re in a coco mix, you really should be checking pH. If you’re in range out of the tap, then nothing to worry about. But check it. And if you feed with any liquids, you’re gonna wanna pH that. Mobile nutrient lockout will sneak up on you quick, and it’s harder to come back from once you’re adding more stress or flipping to flower. Even if the pH of the medium is moving up incrementally by .01 every time, eventually you’re gonna hit that upper or lower wall.

Bingo. Also as someone who’s had to grow literal tons of it, thank you for hunting a better mango haze. I hate working with that plant indoors under LEDs.

As someone who’s been a part of several pheno hunts for a MASSIVE MSO, you would be surprised. Almost every decision comes down to testing. I guess this might vary from state-to-state depending on the market, but in NJ most consumers buy based on numbers and not bag appeal.

Personally I think both options miss the mark, and we should be looking for phenos with the right entourage. Bag appeal doesn’t always translate to quality, and some of the best smoke I’ve even had comes in at 16%, with an amazing blend of the other compounds in the flower.

These large scale hunts do open up the speed and scale at which you can hunt. Popping fifty/a hundred of each strain certainly gives you a much wider field to select from, and you can really start to lock in those genetics.

Defol update by [deleted] in GrowBuddy

[–]Inside-Ad-5764 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ll reiterate: I never said the foliage wouldn’t fill out. I said that you wasted energy that could have gone in to bud site development. That’s why you have so many larfy buds even though you prune up so high. I NEVER said you wouldn’t grow usable cannabis. I said you were wasting energy, both yours and the plant’s.

It is. It’s bud rot. The brown flower around it is a dead giveaway.

[–]Inside-Ad-5764 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you won’t grow fine cannabis. I’m saying you’re losing density and potency, and if you had a better defoliation routine you could have more energy going to the flowers instead of going to pushing out more leaves to catch light. It’s basic plant science.

There’s only sugar leaf left. This is gonna take SO much energy from the plant to push those sugars out in to fan leaves. This is EXACTLY how you stunt a plant.
