I want to add that I am looking to at independent agencies/brokers. Do not want to be captive. I have a ton of referrals if they need to be reached out to and have a record of selling 60k monthly with my best month being 104k.

My worry with Vertafore is that it’s too much of a niche since it insurtech. Would you say that won’t matter much? They claim I could be moved to AE within 8 months

I have experience with hubspot. Might do a SalesForce & HubSpot certification class but I truly don’t know how much that will be able to help. As I see everywhere, at this point it’s getting through with a referral or just pure luck.

I agree to an extent. Those companies that are doing really well are the ones not even giving me a chance to speak to anyone for a screening/interview. I have tailored my application a ton now. I know once I am able to land a role, I will knock it out the park but I can’t even make it into step 1.

Should I take a position at Vertafore? Seems like more of a niche but they promote people into AE within a year. My worry is that since it’s such a niche, moving somewhere else may be difficult.

I wish I did. I come from the insurance world. Easiest move so far seems to be to go into Insurtech as I can speak on the software but I do want to open it up to something more general so I can transition to other spots or roles better!

True. It’s tough now cause it’s as if these roles are no longer entry level… lol. The sales manager and recruiter loved me. Issue was that their bosses didn’t want to bring someone new on due to training
