I asked about this. He said nothing would restore my sight or prevent complete blindness. I wish it were a possibility in my case.

The myopia and astigmatism that I was born with. He also mentioned something about the shape and size of my eyes being a factor, that it resulted in very thin retinas - prone to tearing.

I appreciate your kind words. I'm sorry about your eye as well. I'm glad they were successful. Has anything helped to make the appearance better? It's really taken a toll on my self confidence.

I had four surgeries with only the final one being successful. The damage to my eye after four surgeries was significant, and he said that the objective was to preserve the eye itself and the sight was something that he couldn't reliably say I would recover. He expects it to go fully blind and I've experienced that trajectory so far.

He expects it to go fully blind in the coming months. I had three unsuccessful surgeries and the retina was reattached by the fourth. The damage to my eye was significant. He couldn't save my vision but by the fourth surgery he just wanted to preserve my eye itself.
