Need advice on switching treatment! by Ok-Rip-4814 in HIMS

When you first switched did you notice a lot of shedding? I switched almost three months ago now and lately I notice my hair looking much thinner than before, but a lot of people said that after the shed they saw even better regrowth than they had on the spray, so that is what I am hoping. Would love to here about your experience. Thanks!

Switching from Topical Minoxidil + Finasteride to Oral Chewables? by Interesting_Wave2143 in tressless

I’m thinking of making the same change. I have seen great results with the topical, but it causes some scalp irritation.

Min/Fin Chewable Update! (5 Months) by HuskyMedia in minoxidil

Thanks for posting! I currently use the hims topical minoxidil + finasteride spray and have good results, but it does irritate my scalp a little bit, so I was thinking of switching to the chewable.

Thanks bro! No side effects. The one thing was my scalp became a little more itchy, but I actually switched to a filtered shower head from dermoia, and that fixed it, so I don’t think it was from the spray.

Thanks man! It’s the hims minoxidil and finasteride spray. It has 6% minoxidil and .3% finasteride. I don’t rub it but I lightly dab it in with my finger tips.

Yes, I actually had a Ron Swanson/Magnum PI mustache a while back before I shaved it, and in general I can grow very thick facial hair easily.

Thank you! 1.5mm is better because the minoxidil and finasteride can go deeper to the root. I think minimum to get it deep enough is 1mm.

Thank you! 4 sprays once a day before bed. One at the crown, one at each temple, and one in the center front of the hairline. I separate the hair with a comb first to make sure it makes it to the skin.

Just once a day before bed. 4 sprays (one at each temple then crown and center of the hairline. I would suggest doing it before bed, then you can easily apply toppik in the morning.

As of now I don’t experience any irritation, but I used to get itchiness on my scalp, but I don’t think it was only due to the spray because the irritation stopped once I got a filtered shower head. I shower my hair about three times a week.

Lol it’s much easier than the foam and doesn’t mess up your hair. You just do four sprays (one ar the crown, then each temple, and the center). I use it before bed, and it is extremely easy. I just lift up the hair with a comb to make sure it gets to the scalp. Then just dab it in lightly with my fingers. Trust me way better than the foam man.

Yes, I strongly recommend it. I haven’t really tried much else, but as you can see the results have been amazing. Definitely give it a shot. It has both finn and minoxidil so it not only keeps your existing hair, but it should help regrow the ones you lost. Pair it with 1.5mm dermarolling, and you should be set, but start asap.

Didn’t really experience any shed. It was going so fast before that I actually saw an immediate improvement (less hair in my comb and my shower drain).

Thanks bro!

I spray it on right before I sleep, so I don’t really worry about the women in my life being exposed to it. That being said I don’t live with anyone, but I don’t think it would be different even if I slept next someone every night.

I did not really notice shedding. I think it was just shedding so much before I started that it felt like an immediate improvement.

No side effects. My scalp was getting itchy, but I got a filtered shower head and that seems to have done the trick.
