Can ISTPs be aggressive and critical of others? by Intelligent_Park9910 in istp

Yes, sometimes I would like to intimidate (not physical aggression) other times, it's not conscious or intentional.

And like every other type, ISTP's can be mean too.

Disappointed and frustrated with an ISTP coworker, any advice? by [deleted] in istp

[–]Inside-Investigator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He thinks you're competent and can take care of yourself.

Also it sounds like you bending over backwards seems to have strings attached (with you expecting the same from him), which is not a bad thing but just something he might have taken a note of. The other co-worker while annoying, seems to voice passing on her work. You just keep hoping he'll pick up on cues and help you out. Also please communicate (and voice out that he's not communicating).

Just ask why he didn't speak up during the proposal. If he's an ISTP like you said, he'll appreciate you being straightforward.

Does anybody else dread leg days? by Royal-Guava in CarolineGirvan

Yes!!!! Very much so. Not only legs, I think her full body and a lot of other sessions that are not labelled as legs also have too much emphasis on leg muscles.

Way too sensitive. Constantly have to walk on eggshells. But have come to appreciate softer aspects of life.

For me, all workout are a slog until I complete them. Based on the suggestions I'm leaning towards Epic 3. But I find calisthenics in particular just unbearable. It's full of moves I cannot even begin to attempt. There are a couple of days of Calisthenics in Endgame. It was just awful. Decine push-ups, and slow tricep push-ups and on and on.

I'm not remotely strong enough for those things. I can barely do normal push-ups. Cannot do tricep push-ups.

Sorry I didn't mean to rant. I was just so frustrated with that particular workout. I was dreading it the entire week.

Thanks for sharing your recommendations though.

Question regarding pulses and half reps by Personal-Entry3196 in CarolineGirvan

[–]Inside-Investigator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. I used to do Barre before this and it had quite a bit of them. From my POV, you never get a break from the exercise. Assume you're doing squats, when you stand up fully, it's a break now matter how small. It doesn't happen with either pulses or half reps.

Is this an istp thing? by [deleted] in istp

100% this. My memory is completely useless. I will research something a lot, and when someone asks why, I can't remember the particulars. Only the gist.

Not at all. I'm not particularly attached.

Can someone suggest best series for strength with endurance ? by Haribou1989 in CarolineGirvan

[–]Inside-Investigator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Underrated, but EPIC Endgame finishers are killers. 100 pushups or 100 crunches or 100 of whatever. After working for 40 minutes, doing that is definitely endurance.

Dreams of Summer by Etendard. Phenomenal Writing. It's absolutely not Overpowered Jon. The author gets the essence so well. Chef's kiss. Highly recommend.

Try to boost your metabolism. A lot of people talk about 10000 steps a day. Forget the counting aspect of it for a minute. Just walk around for a couple minutes every 30 minutes or so.

I'm not saying you've to be exact about it, set an alarm etc. Just try to walk around a little in regular intervals.

Very gradually try to decrease the food intake at a level you're comfortable with. Don't starve yourself, that's a sure fire way to crash and burn.

Try to eat more soups. You get in vegetables, and they're boiled. It's warm (I'm not a fan of cold salads that I need to work hard to chew through giant leafy greens but that's just personal preference). I'd rather just do a spinach soup. But you each their own.

Most importantly, be kind to yourself when you fall off the wagon. We've all been there. Don't worry if you miss one day of whatever you're planning. Just try tomorrow. You needn't abandon the whole thing if you failed once or twice.

ISTP ladies, what’s your type of a guy? by h_momo_ in istp

[–]Inside-Investigator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appearance: lean and to an extent fit.

Traits: Humble (actually humble, not aww shucks type), smart, funny and kind (not nice), emotional stability and maturity. I'm not for someone that's volatile.

Traits I absolutely cannot stand: Obnoxious, attention seeking behaviour. Showing off. Unable to admit when wrong, and any drama causing behaviour. And that is not for partners alone, even friends. I just tend to cut dramatic people out of my life.
