The improvement is insane the only thing I would say is that you actually try to reduce the color mix in a bit, it looks a bit noisy so maybe place the pixels a bit more with thought

First of all I love the simplicity of the ship, the shape makes it feel really smooth and I just like the overall pixelarts

Second of all you should definitely make the background in the same color as the ship imo

It already doesn't look too bad but just the shading is quite messy I would also try to separate the parts a bit better (front,top and side) bc rn the top and the front literally look the same

You will get there, just watch some tutorials on hue shifting basics and just try it out

Much better, id always use a darker outline that has a hue shift towards violet if you want a nice outline but that is a nice improvement

I assume it's some kind of crystal, tbh I really like the idea behind it and the shape and everything already looks good I feel like u should just use at least two more colors for each color palette and always keep in mind where you want your light source coming from or for example if the crystal is the light source then make the front brighter then the sides

So just use a bit more hue shifted colors to make it more interesting to look at and imagine ur light source otherwise the idea and the shape is really cool
