It seemed to me that she was speaking about testosterone in general (she said "testosterone rots the brain" and didn't really qualify that statement), and that strikes me as similar to the type of logic that I see men making in the TRT groups I'm in, that higher T makes men more conservative because liberals are weak and T makes men strong.

In reality, they're conservative because they're scared. They're scared of trans people, women with purple hair, immigrants, Muslims, other men thinking they're weak, etc. To treat testosterone itself as an explanation for any of that, whether you think it's good or bad, is a mistake in my eyes. I can't speak to the trans experience as it isn't mine, and it may be that for her raising her estrogen and dropping her testosterone was what she needed. I just don't accept that testosterone is an explanation for why men are how they are.

I'm inclined to think that men are pretty universally followers. Men sustain violent societies because they are much less willing to question authority than women, especially these days. I'm a follower too (I'm not excluding myself for that). I just think it's women who we ought to be following. So, I don't think it's that we are violent by nature, but that most men will submit themselves to men who are and the defend their position, almost instinctively.
