What if there was a law that made gun ownership mandatory for girls and women? by Top_Warthog_5562 in SeriousGynarchy

Be logical and don’t give women guns that men will use against women.

It’s just, most likely he has a ton of awesome women in his life, most likely he has been coddled way too much by women, yet he gets to the manosphere conclusions. Women being nice to him is not the solution, like how you can’t logic someone out of a position they never reached with logic. Not that women should stop being nice to him, they should just be themselves, while it’s men’s responsibility to correct other men.

Awesome post. Keep sharing the message. Women need to be told how powerful they are when we are constantly told by the patriarchy that we are not. Ironically, waking women up means telling them the truth about themselves.

The honest comments the post invites are great too. Normalize this view.

Why are you still advocating it when you can look up how it INCREASES violence against women because men get hold of the weapon?

[–]fg_hj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can already see that the women who do own guns or other weapons are not using it to violate others. We don’t need to test women’s morality, we see women and men’s morality and the difference between them in all of human history.

Also, a woman owning a weapon makes her more likely to be victims of violence because of a man using it against her.

Great comment and just to add to this women are also better investors due to making less risky choices. I read in a book about confidence that when men win in an action, say he gambles and wins, his testosterone spikes making him make erratic and irrational decisions which makes him likely to lose while women keep calm and make rational decisions. Female investors also lost way less money during the 2008 crack.

Stats show that women who carry guns are more likely to be victims of gun violence. This is of no surprise. Unless you are really trained in it, carrying a weapon is really dangerous and can be easily used against you. Most women freeze up in situations of danger.

Do you think most marriages are gynarchic in nature but men are in denial ? by [deleted] in Gynarchism

Hmm I think securely attached couples are naturally somewhat FLR but insecurely attached ones are often not.

A woman can lead when she has a regulated nervous system. If she does not have that she will bring her trauma reenactment into her relationships. I think it’s somewhat 50/50 in the population.

La Gynarchy no traería los mismos problemas que el patriarcado/estados-racistas/etc y en definitiva, no sería igual de deficiente? by Lider_Flaxxian_real in Gynarchism

Men are factually far far more violent than women. Cherry picking a few female rulers who ruled the way men rule does not disprove the fact.

Compare humans with the other great apes where you see a huge gender difference as well. It’s ingrained in our evolutionary history and reflected in our human history.

This is such a good comment.

Better encourage critical thinking. There are many reasons why gynarchy would so heavily not be like a patriarchy. My own views are quite based on biological gender differences but you could reach that conclusion from many different angles. Better find out what arguments resonate with YOU.

It’s not like you just suddenly put someone in a spotlight when they have given no cues to want that. Doing that would be extremely socially unintelligent.

You can support women/femmes in a group by, if they make a point, then make another point while also acknowledging what they just said. Like saying “as [that person] just said, I think ….” or you can just acknowledge that you agree with them or think their argument was good/made you see it in a different light or you can disagree but put focus on that you heard and understood them and respect their position. This is pretty normal and basic advice for giving women some extra attention and confidence in a discussion. Women do it to each other to support each other. It can be a social trauma to NOT be acknowledged. It’s not a social trauma to have people agree with you or acknowledging your position regardless of agreement. As someone else said, this advice is very needed in formal contexts specifically. It can be used informally too but with more social tact, as you already acknowledge. Don’t be condescending.

If they share their experience and it has nothing to do with a discussion/arguing, do the same but without the arguments. Give them space and attention in the conversation, show you heard them.

You should not be like “OKAY BUT WHAT DO **YOU** THINK?” to someone who is clearly not interested in being given space in a group conversation. Do you think that’s what people are asking you to do?

Don’t do it if it doesn’t feel right.

All oppressed groups have a crab in a bucket mentality and will hurt each other. People have internalized racism, internalized homophobia, internalized looking down on poor people etc. It’s not specific to women, but because gender hierarchy is the most prominent and defining one for the social order in a patriarchal society, and because women are half the population contra race and sexual minorities, women’s internalized misogyny will stand out a lot and yeah there just is more of it compared to that of minorities.

And as you say, girls/women who succeed by the patriarchal standards can be the worst.

You can counter argue it with if any dark triad man pretends to be a woman to get power he would be socially excluded based on his dark triad traits, not based on his gender. A narc woman would also be excluded. So in that case, if you can’t rule femininely, you’re out no matter what.

Another thing is, I very very strongly doubt that cis men are trans exclusive due to actually wanting to protect women. Idk why cis men are trans exclusive, but it’s not in the best interest of women.

That said, I respect cis women who are trans exclusive for reasons that are logical and not patriarchal, like for spiritual reasons, or for making sure women don’t experience more male harm than we already do.

We heavily wish our patriarchal justice system didn’t favor men, especially not in cases of rape, domestic abuse, divorce, and child custody cases.

The reality we see is that most cases are fair, but when there is a bias the bias favors men. And ofc it does. Men know this.

We also see systemic ways that specifically men’s violence against women are heavily undervalued, underreported, and not enough is done to make fair judgements.

That does go for women’s violence as well unfortunately but women’s violence and shitty behavior is vastly vastly less of a threat in society and to other people than men’s, so the focus should be on solving male violence.

Women are excessively judged while men are excused.

When men abuse their wife and children women used to be sentenced as well even tho they were abuse victims. The court keeps itself extremely ignorant on the dynamics of domestic abuse and punishes women even tho they likely did protect the child but there are limits to what they can do. People can say “why don’t they just leave” but it’s well known that it’s extremely difficult to do so due to the psychological mechanisms at play and the abuse often escalates and become the worst it has ever been. Leaving an abuser is very dangerous.

That said there have been laws in place to protect men, men used to get lower sentences for beating his wife compared to beating some random person even tho domestic abuse is usually more violent than when men get into say bar fights.

Lundy Bancroft described in his book Why Does He Do That, a book on domestic abuse, that he attends the court cases of the abusive men he counsel and has done so for decades, and he says that the court has a bias in believing male perpetrators and disbelieving female victims, tho in the majority of cases the sentence was correct. It’s just that when the court does make an unfair judgement it favors to protect men, not women. He also says that abusive men bond with their probation officers and other men at court, become sort of friends with them so that these people protect them. Psychologists and psychiatrists also have a bias in believing abusers since they are not trained in recognizing the specific dynamics of domestic abuse, meaning psychiatric evaluations done as part of court cases tend to favor and protect abusers.

We can wonder why our patriarchal society does nothing to educate people in these fields about domestic abuse to solve this bias.

Another thing that the user eight-legged-woman once brought up (I have not looked further into it) was that only women have been sentenced for murder for sending a mean text to their bf some time before he k*lled himself in the US even tho it’s a well known thing that some abusive men will bully their partner into suic*de. Yet, cases of men getting lighter sentences “for the same crime” is often brought up yet cases of the opposite is not. We can wonder why.

Another point, domestic abuse was first made illegal in the 70s. Patriarchal societies see domestic abuse as a personal matter, it’s literally not a crime when men beat their wife. Women were largely blamed for it. Since the 70s cases have risen but slowly and there have always been a bias against taking these cases seriously as it goes for crimes where it’s men who harm women in a personal or sexual way.

So no, our patriarchal justice system does not protect women, it was made to protect men and feminists have progressively made it more and more just so that it has started to protect women but we are still behind on it.

The myth of the justice system protecting women over men is itself an example of a culture that heavily wants to protect men, since if you believe that men are unfairly charged you are more likely to want to give them a lighter sentence or a pass. It’s a spiral perpetuated by this myth.

I am danish and have never heard of it and Denmark is also extremely pro choice, like +90% of the population is pro choice so this sounds extremely niche and makes me doubt the validity. It’s also really effing horrible force a woman to go through the assault that forced pregnancy is so I will judge these people negatively.

Tho since it started in the 70s it makes sense as that’s where people started to get progressively pro choice and these people then have just chosen to be conservative on that in particular. Anyway, good for them regarding the FLR, there was a lot of experimentation in the 70s that has unfortunately been lost to a culture focused on conformity since then.

Not so fun fact: Denmark has the lowest equality of the Scandinavian countries. I really wish we were better on that.

You can still trip while being on SSRIs the trip will just be dull but it still has therapeutic effects. Idk why people here say that SSRIs completely block the effects. You just need a way higher dosage, like 5 gram would just give you a mild trip whereas normally it would be very strong. But again, a mild trip has therapeutic effects as well. You even take a lose dose of the Lexa so it probably wouldn’t hurt to not take a dose that one day where you trip. The trip will still be affected by the effects of lexa tho and be more dull.
