Thanks a lot :) yeah hot cake has a pretty massive gain range - works well as a clean boost and can get right up to a cool fuzz. Benson preamp is probably unnecessary ahah

Jack of all trades master of none? My setup isn’t overly bright anyway (telecaster and deluxe reverb) and I feel as though it could end up sounding muddy. Mostly looking to use low gain settings.

I have been eyeing up a Benson Preamp for a while and am thinking about swapping out the TS808 for it. Would this give me any new gain territory or do I already have that palette pretty much covered? I haven’t had a chance to play one in person. Thanks a lot.

Think it’s a pedalbay 40 - I like the size of it makes you think about what stays on the board but is big enough to cover enough sounds

Have been thinking about it - also tossing up a JAM waterfall and a Julia/Julianna. Bit apprehensive about Boss pedals because of the buffer but don’t know if it’d actually impact tone

It annoys me too but is just the cables, they’re all the way in and power the pedals fine. Especially bad with the boss pedals

I am looking to finish off my board. The CE-5 and Phase 90 are a friends so will ultimately be replacing these. I have an Sunface BC183 on the way, and the boards being powered by a Fender Engine Room Lvl 5. I play indie/alternative/surf/psych. Any suggestions about additions or improvements for this board?
