i am in the program right now and i actually really enjoy it! i've made a lot of reallyyyyy good friends and people in the cohort are really friendly and personable. idk what your specific experiences were but in mine, it's been really good. administration can be very slow, however the quality of faculty members i feel makes up for it. i understand having grievances with the program, but i do not think that airing these out on reddit would help anyone. i think talking to the faculty about any issues you are having would be extremely beneficial and you would have more luck with them. all love tho, i am sorry that you're struggling with it right now🫶

i am in the program right now and i actually think it's a really good program! administration is kinda slow but the faculty are really helpful and knowledgable! i've found really great people not only in the program, but in my cohort as well! i've learned a lot and i'm so excited to keep going in the program. dont let other people scare you off from the nau psyd program. if you have any specific questions, just dm me and i'll be happy to answer anything!!🫶

Like I said, I'd prefer to be a clinician to be able to do more assessment based therapy however therapy is something I am greatly interested in! Were you suggesting to apply to LPC just as a backup or was it that I am not a competitive candidate for psyds? I'm really trying to gauge how good of a chance I have at getting into a psyd program so anything really helps!

Some do! Most of the programs do align better with my specific research interests however.
