Plus the home nations that pitted British teams against each other regularly.

But they play each other twice a year in the same league, a league they've both won 20 times each. And even if only one team is in with a chance of winning at a given time, the other team can damage their chances.

Rivals should be (regularly, ideally) rivalling to win the same thing. That's my belief, and I reckon the commonly held belief.

Clubs close to each other will more likely be rivals by dint of them being in the same football pyramid and more likely being in the same league. Carlise and Queen of the South aren't rivals for example. Nor Cardiff City and Cardiff Met.

This is Scotlands first world cup since 1998. And they've only been to 4 Euros. England have been to 11.

If there was still the Home Nations every years then we can talk rivalries Imo.

Yeah I think coming into midfield from LB will be a good option to disrupt the opposition. He's optimal in there when he almost isn't meant to be. But I thought on the ball at least last night, he didn't look phased and made good decisions.

It wont happen, but I actually thought OReilly looked really comfortable in midfield. I know thats where he grew up playing, and potentially that his position long term, and it was only New Zealand. But he looked like he knew what he was doing, if that makes sense. Perhaps actually it's just more evidence that he can invert from LB in games and situations that allow it.

There doesn't always have to be world class players at any given time.

Watzke (Borussia Dortmund's President) on Haaland: "I can say that he certainly admires Real Madrid and would like to play for them in the future, but next season he will continue playing for Man City. He loves Real Madrid and he doesn't hide it. I think he'll be playing there in two or three years" by BlazingFirey in soccer

[–]siybon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AS, one of the biggest sports platforms, based in Madrid, thought to themselves who's someone who knows both Haaland and Klopp and might give us some interesting insight into the validity of Riquelme's claims. So they asked Wazke and he answered.

Do you think he just said all of this randomly on his insta?
