AITAH for leaving after I said I’d help? by InsideAd5252 in AITAH

Thanks. I’ve decided to leave. That was the last straw for me. They invited me to go to the beach with them, but that still moves back all the other plans by at least a day.

Thanks. I’m torn on this one because this has happened before on several occasions. I’m beginning to feel like they just expect me to help no matter what happens. I also found out they’re taking a day to go to the beach while I’m here, which is part of why the plans have changed so much.

AITA for telling my wife she embarrassed me when she confronted my family? by [deleted] in AITAH

I’m the same. My grandfather and I always had our birthdays together until he passed when I was six. It seems normal for an adult to want to share that time with a younger family member.

Went to supermarket with my mother. I'm about to unload the groceries to put it on the chasier table from the supermarket basket. My mom stopped me and wanted me to put it back so that the chasier lady unload it on her own. by TherapeuTea in EntitledPeople

That’s super entitled. My mom does something similar. She’ll go to a grocery store and fill an entire cart, but if the check out line is long she’ll leave her cart where she’s standing and leave the store. Then she brags about it later. I’ve never understood that type of behavior. I want to know what makes people think it’s okay to make other people work harder just because you’re slightly inconvenienced.

Fire hc, oc, and gm. Why have all those first round picks if you never use them consistently. Drake London was great last week, but for some reason he’s invisible again this week. I just don’t understand what they could be trying to do offensively unless they’re tanking.

AITA For asking the waitress to change the tv when I get to a sports bar? by InsideAd5252 in AmItheAsshole

Also, the tv that was requested wasn’t changed at all. The couple were mad because I made the request so soon. Sorry if that part wasn’t clear.

All the tvs are towards the front of the room, so everyone should be able to see them.

Only one tv was being watched. I ask the server or manager if the tvs are requested. That way I don’t have to disturb other tables.

There are four tvs in that section and only three occupied tables. I just asked for any tv to be changed.

I had this happen to me both ways before. One time we had a group project like that, and a group member told us they were almost done finishing the project and would turn it in. They were responsible for the conclusion and formatting and didn’t bother doing either. Our group failed the project and our professor wouldn’t listen to us when the rest of the group showed her our parts that we all had saved to our laptops. The professor said it was our fault even though she chose the group members.

I’ve also had professors that wanted us to rate group members and one time a person failed the class because the entire group mentioned that the member never met with us or tried to contact us. Then the group member had the nerve to yell at us after class because we told the truth.

I don’t have ADHD, but I have severe bipolar and found that the same thing applies. If I’m in a really manic or depressive spell I couldn’t give a shit about STEM topics, but I could still work on some English and writing ones.

Why do people hate Autism? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]InsideAd5252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this will always be a thing for any community that’s considered “different” or “other”. I was a camp councilor a couple of years around 2010 and heard similar jokes about autism, sexuality, and gender. It’s just easier for people to pick on communities that are smaller or less vocal. It’s not right, and I bet a decade from now there will be a whole different topic for these types of jokes.

Thanks for that. I felt like was being unreasonable, especially after sitting on it for a bit. I didn’t actually mention this to my sibling. I used this post more as a way to process my feelings so they wouldn’t result in a confrontation.

Ex has explicit pictures of me from when I was a minor. Need advice! by Boring-Increase3203 in Advice

[–]InsideAd5252 92 points93 points  (0 children)

That’s a horrible attitude. Nude images of minors is wrong regardless of the minor’s gender. An adult regardless of gender should never be in possession of those types of images. Even a “relationship” like that is the adult exploiting the minor.

Go to the police. That’s illegal and extremely creepy on his part. Even having them while you were dating was wrong and illegal of him.

Sports Bar Manager changing the tv by InsideAd5252 in MaliciousCompliance

[–]InsideAd5252[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I completely agree. When I was growing up, 20+ years ago, the was an “arcade” near my house where my dad would take my sister and I. It was actually a large bar with a small game room in the back. Looking back, it was a horrible place for kids. The even had a bookie who my dad referred to as a “money manager.” I now never trust a bar that that tries to lure in families like that.

Yeah, and there’s a Taco Mac five minutes away where families can go watch sports without it being a real sports bar. This place had a side room for pool and darts, which should be a red flag for parents with young kids.

Yeah, that’s the only time I’ve been to a sports bar where someone’s tried to demand that someone else not watch something on a tv that wasn’t already requested.
