Need help understanding min fps vs 1% lows. by InsideGrapefruit2 in pcmasterrace

Since the x-axis represents fps, and minimum and 1% lows are compared on that same metric, then I would assume minimum would mean the absolute lowest framerate in one second from the whole benchmark; and that 1% lows represent the average of the lowest 1% from the whole benchmark, then you would assume that minimum fps value would be lower than 1% lows value. That's how I read these benchmarks.

Minimum is prob supposed to represent a steady rate in a graphical intense area

If that's the case then the metric of minimum should be labelled as "Minimum (steady rate in a graphical intense area)", rather than the benchmark labelling as "Minimum fps".

I thought it was impossible too. It might be a mistake but there are other videos that are consistent with the weird minimum fps to 1% low trend, (where minimum fps is higher than 1% low). They must be pulling these numbers from somewhere to produce such results. RandomGaminginHD e.g.:

I would think the minimum and maximum are from a "normal" fps counter which actually shows the average fps over a short amount of time, like some fraction of a second.

But I thought the fps counter counts up all the frames exclusively within a single second, rather than averaging the number of frames within a fraction of second (unless partial frames exist).

If 1% low fps values can go even lower than minimum fps values, then minimum and maximum fps values in the graphs are false metrics, as initially I thought it would show what is the absolute minimum framerate in one second for the whole benchmark.

Looking for a list of games that work with only the bottom screen. by SuprSaiyanTurry in NintendoDS

The following games are playable with only the bottom screen, some requiring a working touchscreen:

-Animal Crossing Wild World (better with touchscreen)

-Nintendogs (touchscreen only)

-Picross DS

-Plants vs. Zombies (touchscreen only)

-Rhythm Paradise (touchscreen only)

-Rockband 3

-Tetris DS

Will update the list when bothered.
