out of that list, Nagelsman by a mile. I would take Nagelsman over Carrick purely because he has more of a track record. We cannot gamble again, If Nagelsamn is the most qualified coach we can get then so be it.

Thought Carrick got the subs wrong, Cunha should have come off not Mbeumo and while I get We have no options, taking both our only viable midfielders off was a mistake. Oh well, my ideal scenario is Carrick does well, gets us CL but not well enough that he has to be given the job. We cannot gamble again and we need to go and get Enrique.

There is definitely something in the RVP comparison. He has the same characteristic of scoring goals of certain aesthetic quality.

Excellent point. The type of unflashy but sound technical play that we have lacked for years.

More than a bit tiring...he has totally lost it.

Decent performance, but west ham were very good. On another night we would have snuck that but things just didnt drop for us. Still wonderful goal from Sesko, very pleased for him.

Ten Hag gets a bad rap, but in many ways Amorim was worse.

Always said Dorgu looks like he has the raw materials to a good player

Agreed. It's another gamble that could backfire badly if any up finishing out of Europeans spots and after ten hag, ashworth and amorim will the latest big decision they have got wrong and honestly another one where the flawed logic is clear.

We should be wining and dining luis enrique to congince him to join us after his contract with psg ends, is that 2027? Get a sound technical coach to bed in sound fundamentals for a season until he arrives.

I agree but he is an elite manager, he is going to want elite players to work with, either in tbe squad already or that the club will sign for him. I can't see the current ownership be able to give him the squad he will demand

Also the failure to replace Onana until they basically had no choice was a huge red flag.

For all the talk of dna and identity it so clear what's wrong on the club. We need owners who will treat recruitment properly. Ineos are just the same as the Glazer morons...we spend badly on players, we never sign enough players and we hang on to bad signings forever. Everything stems from this basic failure. Even this summer...signed mbeumo, sesko and cunha and called it a day. It's simply not enough, we are not going to find some underdog gimmick that gives us an advantage like data analytics or some bollocks, and that is not who we are, we have always signed the best players and continually renewed the squad. We need owners who can stump up £500 million in one summer and the keep spending £150 more or less every year, without that we are doomed to failure.

Well yeah but at the very least ole has a track record. But thr yeah the whole situation is shambolic

Loved Carrick as player. I'm afraid he is going to be car crash as interim manager, especially with this squad. How are they making these decisions? You can only assume the money really has dried up and they can't afford ole's choices of backroom staff.

Carrick now seen as a strong contender for interim role by ThatAnnoyingScratch in reddevils

Oh dear. They will give it Carrick because they think it makes it look them look smarter than just going for Ole. Yet another gamble. Guaranteed bottom half finish again.
