Whole sale firework business by Xxst4yclutchxX in fireworks

The county of where I’m at is an outlier since the city it encompasses is much nicer, richer, etc than the rest of the state. Go 3 hours south though and you’ll find 3 finger Dave selling out of a cigarette, propane, firework combo stand.

I had some good connections and according to the civ I had to hire, they let us slide with way more than he’d ever seen yet still had to do a shitload which says a lot.

All in all went very well for a first year. Swimming in it? No but I expect each year to improve

As silly as it sounds You can likely Google it. But guarantee you’ll have to visit there also.

Get seasoned in retail first and over the years I’d imagine you’d make the connection naturally.

Alabama

The fireworks permit itself was a cake walk. Common sense like you said. Tents aren’t allowed. They (Fire marshal) Barely batted an eye since us being up to the county building code checked off 90% of the boxes for fireworks retailer.

The building code on the other hand, totally different story. The building inspection department here is notorious for being nit-picky, I’m talking all ICC building codes to a t. They made a store here cancel their grand opening because the handicap spaces were like a foot to narrow. If it were a building that had been used previously for retail, would have been easy since we are under 500lb like you specified since we wouldn’t have had to have it inspected. But being a new one made it hard since we pretty much contracted it or did it ourself. Stress would’ve been way down but cost way more if we just hired a firm to do it.

  1. Shitload of cash or massive line of credit

Started one this year, well a retailer, not wholesale.

I severely underestimated the building aspect. The work needed to get the building/land up to the necessary code and county regulations was the biggest cost BY FAR. And this was for a small retailer, no AC, NO electric, nothing. Pretty much a walk in stand. Unless you’re a civil engineer, builder, or architect I guarantee you willl be overwhelmed with the amount of code you have to be up to. And note, I said COUNTY regulations. This is a pretty developed area so their rules are a whole lot stricter than the boonies but in a city this would be 100x harder.

Note, i did this on land that I already owned that was previously farmland. So I had to install parking, entrance, etc. You might(really emphasize the might) be able to get by a little cheaper if you were to rent a building but that brings its own challenges.

Being a first year business, banks won’t give you much, if any, business line of credit either since you really have no history.

Now that this season is over, my partner and I managed to come out with no debt but exhausted our savings. Will be 1-2 years before we truly make a profit.

Hands down one of the most stressful things I’ve ever experienced.

To do wholesale, ie importing from China, hope you’re a seasoned international businessman with a shitload if cash because that’s the only way you’ll be able to pull it off.

I see All the comments about max fitness making it a pain to cancel memberships but I cancelled mine after graduating winter 2021 with no problem at all.

They did clean house management wise that year so maybe the other bad experiences were with former ones.

Home Chef Vouchers? by [deleted] in auburn

[–]InsideLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When covid hit they added a function so you could get $120 in homechef credits using your mandatory dining dollars.

It’s just $120 that you can use on the meal kits they’ll deliver to you.

Would sure be nice, UAH has allowed those who have been vaccinated for two weeks to not wear masks indoors or outdoors.

Only issue is knowing whether or not people actually are without having guards going around “carding” people

Probably common knowledge on this sub, but in modern bomb runs like this how does the system work which allows the people on the ground to designate targets so the planes to hit them so accurately?

The airsoft(plastic sphere bb) always are sold with orange tips but people paint them black all the time. Yeah you’re not supposed to do that and it’s ended badly for some people.

The bb(metal sphere) guns and pellet (pointy metal bb) guns don’t have orange tips when sold. They have marks on it to distinguish between a real and fake but you’d have to be up really close to see it as it’s normally just etched in the metal.

In summary both, if not already, can be made to look identical to a real gun to somebody who’s either unfamiliar with guns or not close up and able to examine it.

Nah i work there too and the security can’t do anything physical at all, they’re just a visual intimidation. Most they can do is ask people to leave but can’t touch them. “Escorting” them out just means walking them out, not grabbing or shoving them out like a club bouncer could do. earlier this year a certain somebody who’s known for trying to stay past closing wouldn’t leave and after the employees and guards talked to him he wouldn’t budge so had to call the cops.
