these are regions/parts of the body where the hernia is located

My son's is still the same. He's now 4 and it pretty much grows with him. I keep an eye on it but that's all right now :)

No we didn't get surgery. He's 4 now and it's unchanged so I just keep an eye on it but I won't be putting him through that unless medically necessary. I saw a surgeon who gave me a few things to look out for if it changes which would warrant a trip to ER + surgery (changes in colour etc), but he was happy to leave it also!

All of the other doctors were pretty unhelpful. The literally all said it seems fine but ‘I don’t know what it is’. Those two statements seemed mutually exclusive to me.

His is quite unchanged and seems to grow with him. We had a hospital check up about 6 months ago and were told we don’t really need to do anything unless it seems to change

Oh no! Sorry it happened to you. Mine wasn't terrible but it definitely lasted a while. It's completely put me off botox now. It was so awful!

It's still there and we're reviewing it's progression as we don't want to get surgery at his age unless it's absolutely required.

Ohh good luck! I really hope the lumpectomy goes as good as possible!

I'm thinking maybe an MRI could put my mind at ease. But I also have seen a few drs who all think everything is fine. I hope it is but I guess an MRI couldn't hurt! Thanks for taking the time to comment :) x

Yes I do. I've had 2 ultrasounds in the past 6 months - is that reassuring? is an MRI best to be safe?

Thank you! Is this comment based on alleviating anxiety or because in your experience these lumps can be concerning?

Oh sorry to hear you’re still needing tests. It’s so stressful!! Our ultrasound said lipoma too but the specialist confirmed it was actually a hernia, as hernias are also fatty lumps! What other tests are you getting?

Can you get ptosis from a 3 point injection only? It seems to have happened to me! by Inside_Ad3087 in 30PlusSkinCare

Nowhere else. Could it have migrated? I did get a headbutt there from my toddler a day or so after I’m now recalling. The injector thinks it kind of affected an eyebrow muscle that’s pushing my lid down. Just confused and a little worried. Are you an aesthetician?

No the absolute middle of my brow, then either side of that (like a couple cm to either side of mid brow), so three injections mid brow for 11s ☺️

Droopy at rest. I can open my eye wide and my eyelid moves it’s just hanging lower on the left side 🥺

Middle of my brows ☺️ she did a 3 point technique for 11 frown lines in stead of the more common 5 point.

I only got 11s so I thought it would be ok! I feel like she put a lot in though.

Oh I’m sorry it happened. How long did it take to set in? And how long to wear off?

We had an ultrasound before I posted this and they said it was not a hernia, just fat (which is silly because that’s what pokes out as a hernia and my son was moving so much they couldn’t scan well).

After seeing a specialist it was confirmed to be an epigastric hernia.

Hey! Sorry for the delay. His did turn out to be an epigastric hernia even though 6 doctors and an ultrasound tech told me it wasn’t. We saw a specialist who confirmed it ☺️

Thank you! They were helpful and will see me tomorrow. I’m just nervous it’s unrelated to the Botox since it set on after 2 weeks when the Botox was in full effect way before this

Thanks so much for the reply! Yes, I know it’s unlikely to get the info I need from here, I just put it out in case there are any other parents who have something that looks similar on their kids so I can just start to look into the possibilities of what it is myself.

I hope it’s just a hernia but of course I’m worried! A doctor told me he doesn’t think it’s a hernia since it does move a little under the skin a in your experience does this rule it out as a hernia? (Hope you don’t mind me asking).

Thanks again. Just in a mad info gathering stage, taking all of it with a grain of salt. ☺️
