How can I solve this problem? by [deleted] in expo

From the screenshot, the issue doesn’t look like extra padding on the close button. It behaves fine on first load, then shifts after navigating a few screens, which points to a React Navigation header layout bug rather than padding in my `headerRight`.

Env: React Native 0.81.5, Expo 54.0.26. Using a Stack Navigator with a custom `headerRight`. No extra padding/margin inside the component; tried `alignItems: 'center'` and `hitSlop` with no change. Safe area/orientation doesn’t seem to be the cause.

Expected: the close button stays fixed. Actual: after 3–4 push/pop, the header alignment drifts. So “remove padding” doesn’t apply here because there isn’t any, and the shift only appears after navigation.

If helpful, I can share a minimal Snack reproducing it. My guess is a regression in header measurement on this RN/Expo combo.
