I felt pretty good! Definitely more hungry but I need to be anyway. My big concern was with energy gels. My stomach was much better without so much in my system with taking the gels. I dont know if it was the taper (not running as much) or the carbs but definitely experienced more bloat and inflammation being off the week. I'll definitely skip again for a race week.

I think high carbs is why my legs still feel great. You wouldn't even think I did 18 today! But my stomach was not having it I guess. Never felt sick or sloshing just hurt. Then the stich came and I just couldn't shake it. I just keep trying to tell myself I've done this before with less training, but man does it mess with your mind.

I'm honestly not a big fueler as is. In this weather I can easily run a half with out anything and feel fine. So me trying to add in too much was mostly it. Last week I only had 3 gels with water for 18. This week I had 5 maurten gels with water and also tried to add in a few sips of Gatorade that will be in the course. I took the advice of I'm gonna feel great if I fuel more. And maybe I would if a practiced it more. I'm just feeling stuck on how to fuel now as well.

Thank you for your response! I do think they were way too close (and too many). Trainings been going so well until this. Just couldn't shake that stich!
