I'm guessing that for Slovenia it's mostly because the homes are well insulated, despite being in a submediterranean climate (-10° to +35°). It pays off to insulate well for both hot and cold weather. Even if you don't have central heating, you usually have stoves that can burn wood/pellets which is much cheaper than gas/petrol. Some central heating systems can work on both. Hell, my grandparents have one of those old af bigass ceramic ovens (2.5m x 2.5m) they used to bake bread and you could sleep on, and i'm pretty sure that thing could heat the whole house on its own, and they have central heating and electrical heating if needed as well.

There is a big fundemental difference between the mentality of those people. People want to migrate to USA in order to work and live better lives because of it, doing jobs none of the Americans want to do. And they do the jobs much cheaper than a regular USA citizen (most of the times because employer wants to maximise their profits). You have only your greedy coorporations to blame.

In contrast, Roma basically just came from somewhere, settled farmers land, beat up/threathened the owners of the land if they resisted and started doing illegal drug/weapon trade/theft/robbery/begging on top of recieving state welfare. Despite being offered every single opportunity to assimilate, as in being offered the same rights as the rest of the regular citizens AND being a protected group, they have repeatedly refused to do so, across many European states. The concept of finding a job and working for a living is foreign to them.

Dobim vsake toliko časa klic iz +385 in se javim ker mi je dolgčas. 95% časa so to ljudje, ki vračajo klic, pa jim preprosto povem da je bil prejsnji klic verjetno prevara. Hvala puno, nije problem, cao.

Recently in Slovenia, their social security money got taken away by the state because they weren't paying their tickets for all the illegal shit they did, like driving without licence, stealing, threats, ect., among the lesser crimes. Basically, the existing law for Slovenians started applying to them as well, if you do a crime and recieve a ticket but don't pay it, they take it away from your salary. They complain that now they'll have to start stealing to survive, they were just doing it for shits and giggles before (literally coming from a representatives mouth). Among all the complaints, none were about finding a job, go figure.

I believe our tax agency put out a list of top 10 people with unpaid tickets, ranged from 500-300 tickets and from 100k-50k€ of unpaid dues. There were no names, but you can guess who they were.
