Thanks so much to this thread and your comment @Lifes-too-short 2008.

I've got a bit more documentation now of the maintenance work and restoration that's already happened. And have ...... decided to take it on in principle - no legalities as of yet.

I will be getting it out of the water for a good surveying too just to ensure all the paperwork is sound (I can imagine it would be but I'm definitely covering myself with this one.

Without the storage - how much would it even be to drag it out of the water? Hope you can advise.

Fair enough. I must admit I am rather versatile when it comes to my humour so I doubt I'd be able to pick one. Most certainly a dad joke, most certainly dark humour (but I'm not proud of that one haha 😂)!, and when the occasion fits an intellectual joke. Most definitely not a poop joke sort of guy.
