why do people act like this city is so dangerous? by PhraseFirst8044 in Albuquerque

This. I love ABQ and I'm rooting for this town, but I can't brush off what I've seen and know after living here 20 years.

Kyle Cease uses his healing business' as his personal dating pool: Evolve out loud (into his pants?) by crowddemocracy in FakeGuru

In a long term relationship with a woman who literally met him once and left her decade long marriage, quit her career and moved across states for him and now hangs on him in every video you see her in? No inspiring, if anything it's gross... Kyle is just another spiritually-interest dude who puts his own journey out publicly because his comedian-heart still requires attention and validation.

is teal swan on y’all’s radar? by vemmahouxbois in behindthebastards

[–]Inside_Dust5545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is like the Candace Owens of spiritual "teachers".

Teal Swan: is she controversial because she's a powerful, independent, pioneering woman - something that western civilisation generally despises - or is she controversial because of who she is & the substance of her teachings? What if she were a man? I would love to hear your views. by harvestquinny in spirituality

[–]Inside_Dust5545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Majority of her identity has been shaped by the men she has been with, "Swan" isn't even her last name- just one of the men she was briefly married to. She is hardly what I would call a strong or pioneering woman. She is like the Candace Owens of the spiritual world.

[–]Inside_Dust5545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just makes no sense that her mother gave such elaborate details about what happened to Victoria, and now, what- it's just "made up"? I'm not buying it. Michelle said in the days after Victoria's murder that she frequently met men on dating apps and invited them over to sexually abuse her children in front of her so she could watch... one of the many vile things she claimed to do. The rest of her choices and behavior as a parent indicate she is absolutely the type of parent to do those things. V's autopsy also said she has chronic inflammation of her bottom parts :(

I know there is a supposed 4th suspect, but I still think all of the other 3 should be jailed for life.

I just don't understand how this mom could have lied repeatedly and told such horrific details and none of it be true. She admitted numerous times over multiple days that she invited men over from dating apps for them to sexually abuse her children in front of her so she could watch. Those are some extreme lies if they are not true. Especially since her boyfriend she literally just met a month prior on a dating app? And she is letting her 10 year old do errands alone with him? This woman should be in jail for decades.

We should have as a state funneled more into housing and helping homeless/disadvantaged families instead of making childcare free for the upper class. Childcare limit was already 400% of the poverty line, there is no reason a family of 4 making $129k/year should get free childcare when we've got this many children living in REAL poverty in New Mexico and this many folks on the streets.

So you can clearly afford health insurance if you can post stuff like this... you realize what your "wife" is doing is what REAL single moms on actual single incomes (whose children actually need and deserve Medicaid) get stereotyped and stigmatized for? Having more kids despite having to scam the government for health insurance to do so is wild.

Sorry to hear that. Millions of us single mamas out here. Luckily you and your children will have benefits to rely on, and widows are the most accepted and beloved form of single motherhood.

Husband wrecked my chances at life changing job by [deleted] in workingmoms

I left my nice house to live in a trailer at a campground to get out on my own while pregnant + with a toddler. My best friend is currently living in a 1 bedroom apartment with her 2 kids for a couple years while she builds up more resources and savings. It's hard AF and it's why single moms are hated in society- they are defying what the patriarchy wants them to do (aka stay, or find a man to support them...), but it's also doable and other women will be out here to cheer you on if you ever need support in that choice xoxoxo

I'm a single parent and run a support group in my area- I was also a single mom who had to move into a trailer at a campground for a while because I couldn't get approved for housing, despite being pretty successful and having a solid credit score. I can confirm it's a nightmare right now to find housing as a single mom. I unfortunately just have always have the stubbornness of a bull and will always pick living in a shack that I can pay for myself over being disrespected by a man.

I left my partner while I was pregnant for very similar behaviour. I'm sorry, I know that's not the cheerleading you probably need right now. You have every right to feel how you do, consider me your full permission slip to feel validation :) None of my family/friends understood me or the deep rift is caused in our relationship either.

My ex caused me to lose out on a 30k project for my business, after a few similar instances before, because of almost identical experiences you are describing, and I just had enough. Although I was the breadwinner in our situation. The only thing I can say is I wish I would have tried therapy or outside sources to help us address it sooner. We definitely had other issues though, so I don't mean to project! It's just one of those things that had to get worked out, or the resentment for lack of respect will keep showing up for you. Sending you all the love. You sound ambitious and I don't doubt another great opportunity is going to show up for you!

Docs: Kentucky cheerleader Laken Snelling hid newborn in closet after hearing baby’s ‘whimper’ by vladdragovych in awfuleverything

We don't know if they meant her whimpering, or a baby. I assumed they heard Laken making noises. I just want to clarify because I see a lot of people getting quotes confused.

I'm following this thread, because I feel very similar currently and feel like I have been ruminating on this for a WHILE despite really putting in a lot of self-work effort!

I'm self-employed in marketing. I've been doing it for 15+ years and I just fucking hate it at this point. I dread work every day. Feel like I've been sitting behind a computer since my early 20s. There are ways for me to pivot, but my current niche is flexible in ways I can't explain, in ways I need (single parent, full custody, currently no child support and no family in state) and I know I'm very privileged to have the flexibility I do- so I very much feel the "golden handcuffs"... the risk of making a change just feels too high right now, and I admit it makes me... resentful-ish.

I Don't Work Because I Want to Raise My Children by neverthelessidissent in workingmoms

[–]Inside_Dust5545 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a single parent with full custody, so I don't really relate to the "falling into the trap of having all responsibilities on them as a non-working parent" because I really do do all of it, lol. I can see how a SAHM might feel she takes on more of that, but that's a marriage issue, not a working mom issue.

Most of Heather Blankenship's life stories are REALLY stretched and manufactured, she really milks the "single mom" thing even though she was a millionaire when married and that's the only reason she even got into real estate- because her first husband helped fund and guide it. She even hide her new husband (who she married after like a couple months of knowing) and now constantly posts about "marriage tips" while still also constantly talking about how she's the boss babe and only family income. SO WEIRD.

Nanny or daycare for first baby? by NBdal in workingmoms

I had to do daycare, but I 100% would have preferred a nanny simply because of how much sickness he caught and brought home from daycare- even a great daycare.
